Actually it had a rear water screw to get it to rise on aquaplane surfaces until the clutch could engage the flying prop. If you could include that it would really up your scale points.
@jiroaerop

There is no water screw in this aircraft. In order to separate the water, only the engine part bends upwards and runs on the water so that the propeller does not hit the water.

Typical crazy design only the Italians would be brave enough to take on. Unfortunately the tilt mechanism and gearing could not be solved otherwise it might have broken the seaplane speed record.

@@Mike-Bell surely! I envy the national character of being able to take on challenges with original ideas.

Great model, an you please tell me your steps on the tissue covering? And what tools/products you use?
@jiroaerop
Жыл бұрын
There are several ways to do this, so I can't go into detail here, not possible to list them all. There are methods such as pasting white paper and then painting, pasting pre-painted paper, and pasting after printing a computer-drawn pattern. There are two types of glue used when pasting tissue, water-based glue and spray glue.

Spectacular craftsmanship. Did you double-cover the model or use paint?

Thank you so much for the kind words. I covered with white tissue and paint the wings with an airbrush. Also I pasted a thin piece of wood grain pattern on white tissue with 3M No.77 for the body.

This is a spacer for letterpress printing. The usage is different from the original purpose.

So now going through your other videos, you sir are an artist! Your subject matter is fantastic and I can tell just by looking you are using the "good Wood" excellent! Please post more flight videos. Are you in Japan? Bring your stuff to fly with the MMMclub in Colorado, you have a place to crash free of charge.

Thank you so much for your very kind words for model builder. I live in Japan, but I have been to Salt Lake City, Utah on the west side of Colorado more than 10 years ago. On the way from San Diego to San Francisco, I had to fly to Utah due to plane trouble. I looked at the website of the MMM club, and it seems to be an active club. I look forward to more activities. Again Thanks!
