Tom Petty made a massive contribution to the wonderful American songbook. Another legend stolen from us far too soon. Thank God for him and the unforgettable music he left behind. RIP

I'll never forget working at Bridgestone arena one afternoon and hearing Tom Petty doing a sound check before the concert that night. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. It was a few months before his death and he left us way to soon.

Funny enough, both kinda have the same vibe... the anthem being about an enemy bombing he hell out of you all night to make your flag hit the dirt in burned and torn up pieces, but in the morning she flies proudly high as a giant F U in their face? Yeah, that’s badass.
