As generic as it sounds, probably Ten. I really need to revisit their 2000s material since it's been so long since I've listened to them start to finish.

Most underrated is easily Binaural. The Album of Hidden Gems. My favorite can be any of the first six (minus Vs.) at any given time.

I can’t believe I’m saying this when some of my favorite artists have released albums this year but Dark Matter is current my album of the year, just edging out Saviors which I adore. I feel the pacing on this album is near perfect, it feels so fresh yet nostalgic at the same time, and is pretty everything you could ask for in a rock album imo. My favorite track is Upper Hand, it just feels like such a love letter to the band and its fans, while also being an awesome reimagining of my favorite guitar lick of all time. 5/5 for me, really was surprised and haven’t been able to stop listening since Friday!

This was the very first album I reviewed on my channel - spoiler alert: I LOVED it. I give this one an *8.5* out of 10, their best since “Yield,” and in the running (heh heh) for best rock record of the year. If the Grammys don’t nominate this one for the rock categories, we don’t need the Grammys anymore.

Its a solid record. The last solid Pearl Jam record was the avocado one. But OH GOD the production is awful. Plastic-y guitar tones and horrible snare sound. I love Vedders voice, but Andrew Watts production just makes everything artificial.. plastic..

I don't get what people see in this album it's around the same quality and style as their last one gigaton. More recent PJ especially after Vitalogy is literally just so verbose and milquetoast lyrically it's distracting, this album is just that continued into yet another bland album for most of it. I don't get why people sleep on Lightning Bolt from 2013, it was their best by a mile since their stuff from yield.

No Code is the most interesting i think, but Binaural came out when i was in high school, and even though i always liked Pearl Jam before, that is the album that i always associate with their sound for me. But, yes I agree Dark Matter is quite a awesome addition to their catalog - very solid - took 3 listens to really soak in

I really liked this album, and their album from 2020. I personally don’t think Pearl Jam has a bad album, but they certainly have albums that are better than others, and this one is definitely a stand out one. I still have to get it on CD though.

IMO their artistic peak is Binaural, Riot Act and Lost Dogs. This album is probably one of my least favourites, i liked LB and Gigaton more. But there's a bunch of really great songs: "react respond", "upper hand", "won't tell", "got to give", "setting sun" And "waiting for stevie" is one of their greatest songs ever. So i'm pretty pleased with the album

Great album! I'd say, it's their best since the Self Titled Avocado album. Best album in 18 years is still no slouch! Backspacer and Lightning Bolt were good as well, only Gigaton was a mixed bag (on the level of Riot Act).

I like the album… but I am one of those you were talking about… regarding the sound…. I thought that the levels of bass , drums, and guitar needed to be adjusted a bit.. I think it sounds a bit muddy… not clean enough.. but not really a big deal… as I listen to more live shows than the albums.. which they will be taking these songs on the road very very soon,…. Getting some live material out there…. Nice video…. Thanks for making.
