Hello Diego. .. I hope your well... looks like lemonade ! In your experience what are the top 5 methods to get your plants to pearl ? I've not really managed it so far ! I'm thinking higher light levels / co2 levels / liquid Ferts / types of plants and maybe water changes ? If you had to choose which order would you rate these factors at ? So for example would increasing the light level on its own bring about pearling ? What if you removed co2 ! Would pearling stop ? etc . Kind regards . John . 🐟 .

Hello John! I hope you are well too! Thanks for commenting and watching as always!! Just fill your tank with sparkling water! hahaha Just Kidding! You are absolutely right light co2 and ferts are the bread and butter of pearling, water changes not so much ive noticed my tank pearling the same after water change as in the middle of the week, but when i run out of co2 the bubbles are gone maybe one or two lines but nothing like this video, so high light and high saturation of co2 are the main two but im pretty sure if you dont add ferts it wont be as good, it is just a result of plants eating so they need nutrients light and co2 as their main meal everyday, if you give them that they will start pearling, also it may not be instantaneous it may take a couple of days for the plants to increase their metabolism rate and start pearling super easy, i had the same issue before and when i had co2 and ferts but a cheap light barely any plants pearled, but when i set up the chihiros wrgb 2 it changed the game and instantly more plants started pearling, and the number increased until now all plants pearl like crazy, the string of consecutive bubbles are like leaks from a damaged part of a plant so trimming makes it really bubbly, it does not mean that the bubbling means the plants are hurt or anything, they usually find a spot in the stem rhizome or leaf to let out the oxygen, and the bubbles that have no perfect rhythm are the ones that are normally pearling. they pearl a lot less when you dont trim them, at least thats what ive noticed, but there must be more scientific information about it! What type of light and ferts do you have? maybe there is a deficiency somewhere in the tank! I would love to help you get them pearling as it is a show in itself to watch them, i see it as the hart beat of the plants you can just se how they are perfectly working like clockwork and it gives me peace!! If you have any more questions do not hesitate, i'm here to serve you! Greetings from Mexico my friend! Thanks for your constant support!!

@@Aqualibriumx Hi Diego. .. Thanks for your reply and all the information you provide . My plants grow like crazy at the moment but only diy co2 and it's crowded in my tank . Currently running in my 4 ft tall again ready for new plants and then fish next . Not going to have anything top surface plant wise so that all the light gets to my new plants . I use liquid iron ( 1 ml per 24hrs ) and liquid carbon ( also 1 ml per 24hrs in a nett 100 litre water volume ) just started adding liquid potassium diy solution every day . Will be experimenting with my new setup soon . Keep well . Best wishes . John . 🐠 .

@@johnbfrommanchesterengland4580 Sounds good John!! As long as it is working for you!, maybe you need a higher saturation of co2 for them to pearl, but if they are growing then you are good! 4ft tall? thats massive i would guess it is a beautiful tank, light finds it hard to go through that much water maybe they are growing on a low light setup. Ferts look good i add seachem advance everyday as well, and it helped my rhizome plants develop more roots and growth, i also add seachem trace every other day, liquid carbon is good for low tech tanks but if you want to get that extra punch i would increase the co2 a bit, just to see how they do! if your tap is good with nitrogen and phosphorus then it is ok to add potassium, if you are low on nitrates and phosphorus i would add some as well, start slow if you wish to make any changes so plants get adapted and not shoked! If you are happy with how it looks grows and everything then never mind my suggestions and just let it be and be consistent with what you are doing and plants will be happy!! Thank you as always and greetings from Mexico!!

@@Aqualibriumx Hi Diego. ... that's 4 ft long ! 2ft high . Just redone my diy co2 . In annoxic filtration nitrates and phosphates are the enemy and cause algae ! So you never add these ! This is how you achieve algae free ! I am happy to learn more from you anytime , given how nice your tank is . Thanks for your reply . John . 🐠 .

@@johnbfrommanchesterengland4580 Got it it has good size! Ok i didn't knew about that in anoxic filtration, ill take it into account when i build mine Thanks John! I just picked up a tank from the street that has a broken panel and ill build it with anoxic filtration, maybe that is the reason why they are not pearling yet, maybe in a bit of time they will, It all comes down to what you want to achieve! No need to thank John Thank you for asking questions and sharing your knowledge as well, I'm here to serve you!!
