You guys forgot one of the best aspects of that Peavey (and the Delta Blues as well) which is how great it sounds playing slide guitar. Grab a Les Paul, stick a slide on your finger and channel your inner Duane Allman with bit of crunch on the amp. Cool demo video. Interesting how much gain is on channel 2. Two items i was interested in that was missing. 1) How does the clean channel sounds cranked? Perhaps demo that on the 5 and 1 watt modes (ie to show if it breaks up in any significant and toneful way) 2) The footswitch-able boost function. Does the boost function work on both channels and is it volume, gain or combination boost? Is there any way to adjust the amt of that boost?

I went to guitar center for something unrelated, probably a drum or guitar, and plugged into the brand new Streamliner series by Gretch, displayed in a really nice Hollowbody finish. A Gretch at a price that was just as ridiculous (same price actually as the amp) was pouring great sounding and easy playing grooves into my soon to be (bout 5 minutes later) Peavey Classic 20 mini head. In a way, it reminded me of a Revv 20 after seeing all the features and hearing it rip, roar, rage and relax with the mere $350 Guitar I was testing, and then easily chose to walk out with the Peavey Classic mini 20 head, Without regrets...a RARE occurrence for me, especially in a Pittsburgh big box music store. You see, I had a matching tweed Peavey 115E Cab from the 90's in perfect condition waiting at home; it was like 2 unicorns 🦄 🦄 finding their soul mates after 60 seconds into a blind date...the 15" Cab with an Eminence Big Ben I just installed, and the Classic mini 20 were enough to makes me feel ok about the 2 USA Classic 50 4x10 combo amps I recently had to sell. They were matches to my 115E extension cab. Well, the Classic mini & 115E cab ended up being a much lighter and easier rig - that also sounded so special, that I decided to, (and recently) was able to find another "like new" Classic 50 4x10 combo for $450 this time, but had been upgraded with 4 amazing 10" Celestions which (along with new tubes I noticed later) sounds better than ever and I'm now happy once again... after a few years worth of being GodSmacked non-stop. I'm always looking for another Peavey 115E tweed cab to really complete the set, but they're rarer than 4 supermodels stuffing themselves at the Golden Corale and then wrestling to settle their passive aggressive hatred for one another by betting which 2 pay for dinner (and dessert) and have to go home with the part-time wallpapering brother/roommates living in a studio apartment) 🤼🏽♀️🤼🏼♀️👨🏻🦱👨🏻🛀🛀🏻... And which 2 get to come home with me 🧑🎤👯🏽♀️🕺 (I'm saying, I lust for another extinct 115E Peavey cabinet) Or I could've just typed I dig the amp alot 🤷?

i want to see more of the peavey classic range! for me this is a hugely under rated amp that no one really talks about. i just went and tried a classic 100 head and cab.... absolutely blown away at the price of the amp vs the tone. its amazing, but no one really rates this amp. i wanted some kind of fender before this but the peavey ended up winning me over by tone and by price. i was going to buy a fender blues junior 15 for more than i would of paid for a matching peavey classic 100 head and cab. Im gunna have headroom for days :) just wish i knew about these amps earlier. is there something wrong with them? why dont people recommend them more? definitely the best amp i've ever used for under $100 aud.

I own a peavey classic 50: 4 x 10 which is my favorite amp. So easy to get good musical sounds. This is coming from a guy that owns a bogner cosmopolitan, fender deluxe reverb, jcm 800, and a mesa boogie express plus 5:50. I play through my peavey 4 out of 5 times.
