Yes, the sound isn't great, but adequate.. I have a Pedersoli 1886 sporting classic and a Sharps 40-65 sporting rifle. The accuracy of these Pedersoli rifles is astounding! Beautiful guns 😍

I have the same guns, only the Sharps is a 45-70 like the 1886. Both guns are very well made. I can hit a ½ liter soda bottle repeatedly at 50 meters, and this is without any modification to the open sights. My 1886 tended to hit low at the same distance, so I had to move up the rear sight a notch. Besides that, the sights seem to hit well from the factory. Of course, I may simply have been lucky in that regard.

I have a couple Pedersoli made guns here, a Indian Trade musket which is my favorite muzzleloader by far, did a lot of small game hunting with that one this year. I have a Pedersoli French IX-D Cavallerie carbine, to me one of the nicest variations of the Charleville to exist, and a Baker Cavalry shotgun, essentially a smoothbore shotgun version of their Howdah. It uses the same barrels as the Howdah but with a shotgun stock, and is a lot of fun to shoot.

Some people were saying they had trouble hearing so I made a transcript for the video ___________________________ So we are at the Pedersoli booth and we have lever action rifles from Pedersoli with Stefano Pedersoli my old friend. I would like to show you, he would like to show you where the lever action concept is going Where are we starting from? We are starting from the western line for example the 1886: That is the classic western gun coming from history in .45-70 with an octagonal barrel, stock and forend in American walnut Traditional finish, traditional barrel, everything is as John Moses Browning designed Exactly And it still works ladies and gentlemen because all these rifles are capable hunting rifles today as well But you have something new for us as well Yes Where the concept is going today We have the evolution on the original Let's check it out This looks strange! Totally strange and totally different compared to the old one This is our "boarbuster" line: This is a modern line of boarbuster, still in .45-70 but we have totally changed the style of the stock, of the forend. For example the stock right here has an adjustable cheek piece So it is good for a scope and also good for the irons Exactly, we have a picatinny rail, rear sights included, for the use of a red dot, or of a long focus scope This is a memory foam butt plate? Yes a memory foam butt plate. All the parts have been covered with cerakote finishing and here we have something particular, the folding lever is divided into two parts so you can change the loop of a standard one for one for use of gloves With big gloves Exactly And then you can change it back to normal if you want to Exactly This means that the lever is completely replaceable so if you want to get rid of the separated piece then you can also have the original? Exactly and you can do it yourself without the help of a gunsmith because we have just a screw giving you the ability to disassemble the part, reassemble. Easy Perfect. This is wood? Yes this is wood that we have covered with a black coral. on the surface we put a silicone finish Yes it feels very secure Yes you can feel the grip and like this the stock becomes totally waterproof And I see that you are prepared for a silencer Exactly What are the threads? Is 5.8 x 24 I'm not really into modern guns but I really have to say that if I will once use a modern gun for hunting that it will be a modern lever action For wild boar hunting Exactly, the action is completely the same as on the classic version Same quality, same mechanism Mr Browning designed it well for us Nice safety here Yeah But it still has the safety position for the hammer so this is.. I wouldn't use it anyway, this should be enough It looks strange but it's a capable gun I really have to say You have some new calibres? We have some new calibres we have introduced for the first time this year: the .30-30 Winchester and we have made on the model *I didn't understand this exactly* With an adjustable stock, cheekpiece stock in polymer Poly... so this is completely plastic Yes, it's a little bit lighter yes for sure with the butt plate, same quality as the boarbuster just 100 grammes lighter compared to the .45-70 Yeah yeah, the calibre is .30-30 Winchester so American white tail calibre is here at Pedersoli Very smooth It's totally made by CNC machine It doesn't look classical but I really have to say that's a really practical sight because you can move the rear sight in any position you want which means that if you're, say, tracking wounded game as I do then this is the right position (forward on the rail) being far from your eyes Yes it's your choice And you have the same kind of rail here so you can set the elevation. Good What's with that one? This is the evolution model, it's a boarbuster, here you can see that the stock is in real wood real American walnut wood however with a silicone grip Ah! So we have removed totally the checkering, you don't need it because the grip is made by the silicone, it's waterproof It's not slippy It's a "more classic line" compared to previous but it's got the same futuristic characteristics of the boar buster Cerakote.. And this is more traditional blueing exactly Well this is much closer to my heart regarding the look but still has the capability of the other ones Very safe. Good Thank you I have been using the flintlock double shotgun for hunting for three years now I guess, one of the first shotguns is mine and I really have to say that I'm very happy with that gun, it has a very tight pattern. I did hunt all the small game in Hungary with that shotgun and it works perfectly And now we have a double rifle! What is the calibre of the double rifle? .63 .63, so it is the same frame, same lock, same everything totally So can I interchange barrels? If I buy a new barrel from you it will interchange to? Yes you can interchange with the double rifle yes Sounds good! What is the twist rate? It's errrr very long.. hold on He's making it So what is the twist rate? 1 in 75 1 in 75 so it is optimised for round ball but that also means that with very short conicals like real bullets you can shoot accurately When can we try it? Tomorrow! I love it You have a howdah flintlock pistol as well? Yes we have the howdah pistol So probably you already know that Pedersoli has been making a beautiful reproduction of the howdah pistol in percussion which are based on the shotgun system, the double barrel shotgun system and as they have now the flintlock shotgun there is a howdah pistol as well in flintlock. I love that. What do we have to know about this pistol? Well it's something that the market required for several years and we have it. We are selling very well this kind of pistol because it's free in several countries. It's pretty fast. It's a smooth barrel in 20 gauge Do you also have the rifled barrel for it? That is coming yes And here also you can shoot the single round ball, it's the choice of the customers and the stock is in American walnut, same quality as our percussion pistol but more classic Yeah I love that. I just love that line, it's really good. I would say that's the most effective self defence gun that you can have in the end of the 18th century

I was really hoping that Pedersoli would be bringing us all a true Baker rifle. They're out there but the Indian made guns are all smoothbore, and you either have to spend money on one of those to get it rifled or find a rifled barrel to put on the gun. That one would be popular, I know I would be in line for one.

The Flintlock Howdah pistol looks good. A better, more agronomically designed stock should be made on the percussion Howdah pistol. Pedersoli, should make more cap&ball percussion revolvers. Models like a replica of the British Beaumont Adams Dragoon 50 caliber percussion revolver and the Austrian Josef Schneigg model 1860 in 55 caliber. As well as a Langcaster style, Over and Under percussion Howdah pistol.

Dear Cap, I follow your channel with interest! Also you’re not a bad guitar picker! ( you need a Martin!!) So I don’t know where else to turn so I have a CIP question as refers to my Uberti 50-95 it has a CIP/N mark on the barrel. CIP rates that cartridge at 5000 Joule!!! Also 3100 bar or thereabouts…..if the gun has been proved at that level, why so people whine about the “weak” action?? Granted it’s not a Weatherby but for 5000 Joules who needs one? THANKS, Fred

we have tried to have a small run of Pedersoli Howda Double rifle in 45 colt and 410 , a sort of deluxe hunting survival Double rifle in Canada for 3 years now! Pedersoli has work on the project but the pandemic and the backlash of it always interfere with the project... we are still waiting for news to know if Pedersoli will continue on the project or if it's dead... Maybe if people show interest Pedersoli will bring that product to the market.... I dream of a slim light Double rifle in 45 colt (for heavy charge) / 410 with removable choke in the 16-20 inch barrels length, Express sight calibrated to 75yards or so...
