Pedestal table legs can come loose over years of use. These are not simple to glue back in place. Watch how to take loose pedestal table legs apart and reinstall them to restore a rock solid table base.
Once the pedestal table legs are taken apart and the old glue is scared off, the real challenge starts - how to clamp these legs to get a tight fit. Because the legs are curved, there isn't a flat surface to clamp them in place. This is where clamping cauls need to be made. This is what's called "vector clamping" in the woodworking world. The process of making cauls that puts the face of the clamp parallel to the joint that needs the clamping pressure.
Here's a link to the padded clamps we use, that can also be reversed for spreading parts when needed - amzn.to/2UKHjRa Note: purchases made with this link help fund the filming of our videos.
