Pedro Heredia Reyes, nace en Granada, en 1973. De familia gitana, el cante forma parte de su vida desde el día que nació, su vinculación directa con el mundo del flamenco y lo vivido entre los suyos marcan el ambiente en el que crece como persona y va madurando como artista.
Con 18 años se traslada a vivir a Sevilla y años más tarde su camino profesional se une a la familia de los Farrucos, los cuales le dan la oportunidad de formar parte de su compañía de baile y de esa manera nos hacen partícipes de conocer la privilegiada garganta de este nuevo cantaor que desde 2007 comienza a cosechar críticas importantes dentro del flamenco.
Es el Festival de Jerez 2012 el que le da la oportunidad de debutar como cantaor en solitario, programándolo dentro del ciclo Los Conciertos de Palacio, y es allí , en el Palacio de Villavicencio con un aforo lleno donde expone su voz, asumiendo riesgos y conquistando a la crítica. Es esta declaración de intenciones la que le lleva a la Bienal de Sevilla ese mismo año, donde se presenta su primer recital sobre las tablas del Espacio Santa Clara dentro del ciclo De Viva Voz, repite aforo lleno y elogios de la crítica.
Colabora con guitarristas de la talla de Vicente Amigo y Tomatito, entre otros, y con cantaores como Enrique Morente, Estrella Morente y Alejandro Sanz.
Ha sido dirigido por Carlos Saura en su película “Flamenco, Famenco” de la que forma parte , y ha llevado su cante a ciudades como Londres, Nueva York, Estambul, Los Ángeles, San Francisco, México, Paris, Miami. Ámsterdam y Roma entre muchas otras.
Durante 2013 Pedro El Granaíno es premiado en el Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba con el segundo premio y hemos podido disfrutarle en festivales como el festival Algurugú, Las Aguzaderas, o Mont de Marsan, siendo este último, donde se presenta su espectáculo “Metales” cosechando grandes elogios entre el público francés.
Presenta en Sevilla su recital “Tierra” que le llevó cuatro noches al Alcázar de Sevilla, ciudad donde le hemos vuelto a ver dentro de la programación de la Bienal de Flamenco, por segunda vez en solitario.
No obstante, durante 2015 es la grabación de su primer trabajo discográfico lo que ocupa su tiempo, y entre esa búsqueda de esos temas que a él le hieren el alma y le hacen disfrutar prepara lo que será su próximo trabajo NAZARÍ, su proyecto más inmediato, un trabajo de cante clásico basado en la obra de Tomás Pavón, de Chacón, de Chocolate, de la Niña de los Peines, de Camarón, fuentes todas en las que Pedro bebe y se alimenta.
