Honestly, I'd take a Duster over a Daytona every day, aesthetically. I mean, I get the whole NASCAR deal, but a John Deere tractor was use-specific for a corn field too, but I wouldn't want to drive one on the street. Or a cornfield either, for that matter.

So, I have a question and would welcome responses about the cars like those within the first two minutes - the obviously horrifically expensive ones with the the engines stacked to the ceiling with superchargers, blowers, all of that, while at the same time having very swanky interiors, paint jobs, transmissions, etc. Now, do cars like this ever EVER see a track? And if they do, how on EARTH do you get and keep insurance for them? Or are these entirely self-insured by very well-heeled owners? Because I'm a poor country mouse with a gorgeous old restomodded car that cost me too far into the six figures to build, and I can't IMAGINE daring to take it to any drag strip. I couldn't begin to afford fixing it if my crappy driving damaged it somehow. So what's going on here?

With a car like that, I'm sure they can afford it

Or drape corny stuffed dolls and toys all over it, or put political flags all over it. But it's a free country, I guess. Ugh.
