Once again, Drew of Atmora returns with tales and songs of "Dawn's Beauty". Really cool to see the work done here, as well as the armor and mods used to facilitate it. A short movie of the Elven civilizations in the Merethic Era would be awesome to see, every time I see the Ayleids portrayed in videos like this, I can only imagine what some well-animated/generated Visuals would look like. You guys ever think, perhaps, one day an Elf imbued with the essence of Trinimac could face a Man with the essence of Lorkhan, in this upcoming 2nd Great War? I just wanna see a Shezzarine fight a Mer who's been blessed by Malacath with the light of Trinimac and see their ancient battle be redone, but this time as mortals and not fully-powered Et'Ada.
@YourWaywardDestiny
Жыл бұрын
The sorts of things that would have to be set aside to "redo" that ancient battle in any capacity, even on a small mortal scale, would be... Great and many. I think I'd be more interested in how Malacath even _could_ let go of his bitterness for enough of a moment to let the spark of Trinimac shine in anyone else, or in how Akatosh could shed Auriel enough to imbue anyone with Lorkan's blessing. That would be one hell of a story.
@thalmoragent9344
Жыл бұрын
@@YourWaywardDestiny Well, Malacath doesn't actively ask his Orsimer children and followers to purposefully attack Dunmer or Khajit, the people of the Good Daedra that had corrupted him. I feel that, while he's a bit of a downer, that the core values he has is still that of his old self. To let another Mer mantle the currently empty spot of Trinimac amongst the Elven Et'Ada, I feel, would be a helluva way to pass on the torch. Or, at least, bless a Mer with a Warrior's heart to help the Elves in a grand battle with Lorkhan's forces. Shezzarine's still exist due to Lorkhan's scheming, and while Akatosh currently exists, Auriel will always be the initial Time-God of the Dawn, and I'm sure he'd be more than willing to speak with Malacath in however God's conversate nowadays. Especially since Malacath's Realm stretches from Oblivion to Aetherius..

@@thalmoragent9344 All that is a reasonable assessment, inline with the lore and an easy conclusion to come to and all. I just foresee a lot of incapacity to tune out any of the, ah, background noise that comes with each of their current state of being as a large hurdle I'd love to see how they could get past. Malacath isn't going to see being rejected (so to speak) by the then-Aldmer as something small, he is very fond of those cast aside with him for a reason, and his sphere has been accompanied by a bitter, dogged demand to persist for so long, it would be very interesting to see what could come up to make him set aside his cursed aspect to give an inch to anyone who descended from the Aldmer that also didn't keep loyal to him. So, a non-Orc elf would be a hard sell, and it'd take an interesting Orc indeed to pass over the love of Malacath to try to dig deeper into the part that persists as Tirnimac. We've seen such things happen, but the Orcs (just like Malacath) are shown to be pretty good about passing down legends of past consequences. And Lorkan/Shor? That half of Akatosh would, naturally be all for the love of humans, no arguments about that. Except the other head equally loves the elves, even if so far, we haven't been shown much of that favor in lore. It's hard to go behind your own back, so it'd have to be a mighty fight with himself to place even more favoritism on humanity, I think. That would also be an interesting tale to hear how it was overcome. I think seeing how it came to this would be equally as interesting as the fight itself, I am on board with a little mini recreation of a past duel, over all, I'd like to dig in to all the circumstances around it, too.

Drew is good to see you doing stuff off fudgemuppet, I remember that kirkbride confirmed later that pelinal wasn't gay either, it was a mistake by him on which bethesda did the right call. Huna was his adoptive daughter grown to be a warrior(yes the achiles part is here but toned to be lotr), the ayleids ambushed her party and captured her, and proceeded to rape and torture her for days the way molag bal aproves, until they send hers and the party's bodies back to alessia. The scene alone made pelinal go into a rage and recite the "O Aka, for our shared madness I do this!" on which he states to morihaus later after that "Like when the dream no longer needs its dreamer." technically Meridia, or Merid as she was known before turning to a daedra wasnt an Aedra. she was a magna-ge; one of the servants of magnus that fled with him to become the sun and stars when lorkhan's deception about the nature of mundus was discovered. the details are a bit murky, but sometime after that, Merid either was cast down or willingly went to oblivion; in either case claiming a piece as her realm, turning to the daedric prince meridia.

Beautiful narration, like what one would expect to read in a book written by an actually talented writer. On the subject of the video, an idea sprung in my mind when listening to the latest parts, and how Pelinal recovered or "found" his sanity in his latest moments, so to speak, and how this happened after battling his nemesis. Could this story be inspired by Don Quijote? For those who're unfamiliar with the story, he's a spanish noble yet empoverished man who had spent so much of his life reading books of chivalry that he lost his sanity, embarked on a journey in search for adventures in the company of a naive peasant, lost a duel against another knight, left the life of the adventurer and died soon after out of sadness for having lost the privilege of that lifestyle as per the rules of his duel. However, in deathbed he spoke in clarity and claimed that he was sane. The story itself is much more complex and deep, but that summary can be paralleled by Pelinal's, in my opinion.

I think Pelinal might might have been the first ever mortal to achieve Amaranth. An avatar of Shor, who then goes on the realize that he himself is lucid within the Godhead’s dream, and finally proclaiming that he no longer needs the dreamer. Food for thought at least

To me it would seem that Shor/Lorkhan is trying to pull of a reverse manteling of sorts. Taking the place of Akatosh, much in the same way the Hero of Kvatch mantled and became Sheogorath. I say reverse manteling because it seems Akatosh and Lorkhan are almost switching places. Manteling each other, so to speak. This could explain why the Dragon Breaks happen periodically, as Akatosh's own psyche is under attack. Possibly why Alduin decided to not eat the world. Just spit balling here, but it would certainly explain alot.

I think Lorkhan is trying some form of fusion here ? his goal seems to be amaranth ( replacing/being the Godhead ) and for that Anu and Padomay, stasis and change, would need to be unified to make an Oversoul similar to it at least that's the only intepretation I can think as coherent with the hints that the most significant dragonborns, like tiber septim or the last dragonborn for example, ( wich are shards of akatosh thus stasis ) are also shezarrine ( champion of lorkhan and thus change ) the goal is not replacing, it's merging

@@Super50ldier wich they are, dragonborns have the soul of a dragon, dragons are litteral shards of the dragon god of time wich is akatosh they are not biological creatures with magic breath they are physicaly shaped representation of a god who warp reality with their voices, they aren't even born since they all appeared at the dawn like paarthurnax said they are timeless and unyelding and so is the dragonborn

Seems to me Pelinal may have been the first of the Shezzarines who appear during times of great need… it kinda creates the image in my head of humans and other followers of Lorkan in the future crafting a cyborg to send back in time so that their fragile history plays out the intentional way. Time having been broken so many times of course
