Cool video. Probably just a worn old seal in the 2250, should be easy to fix. Typically you can leave CO2 in them for a long time without issue if you add a little oil occasionally.

The air guns are widely overlooked in a prepper situation i have a gamo varmint hunter hp which claims "1400" fps but i have killed rabbits at a range of over 100 yds 109 to be exact. The gun is heavy and pretty big the amount of ammo is worth it

I feel the AR is going to be a vary bad idea I'd rather have a side arm a 22 amd a pellet gun and keep a bow as well I feel the AR will draw to much attention and how loud it is even with a silencer on it just far to tactical for me and my comfort the 22 and the 9 makes good defense if used properly the bow would be for when ammo runs out years later

That first pellet rifle you showed, i used to own one. Let me tell you, back in the day when i wasn't worried about the possibility of survival i used to get rid of squirrels, birds, rabbits, rats, raccoon, and even snacks if you got the aim. Even the ball round it's very accurate. When i was 12 years old i could hit almost anything, anyone should be able to. Ammo is very very cheap and very very light. You can literally carry hundreds in your pocket. Very good piece of equipment. Hello if you pump it ten times you could shot the gatorgars in the lake when they swam near the surface. Now its a 50/50 chance that you will actually hit them but it works. Best this is you can retrieve the round from the game you killed and have a good chance of reusing it.

Not a bad video, however... I do have to point out that with the springer you demonstrated on, you were looking to lose a finger there. Never, under any circumstance, break the barrel and then let it go. These springers have been known to cut finger tips off when the barrel accidentally flies back like a bear trap. Always, and I don't care who's reading this and thinks they're too cool to do so, ALWAYS keep your hand on the barrel when loading a round. It's no joke when you lose your finger tip. Hope you start this practice.

Maybe, but the one gun concept is inherently flawed. Any time you try to make one thing do everything, it won't do anything very well. For me a pair of guns is better. Not only do you have more capabilities but if one goes down you aren't completely hosed. It is a complex subject to be sure. Thanks for watching!

On the Crosman 2240, 2250, 2400KT CO2 guns you need to leave a CO2 cart in the gun to hold pressure, you can shoot just one shot, and leave it charged for a year before the next shot. It is also important to put pellgun oil on the tip of every new CO2 cartridge to keep the seals good. That gun would probably still work if you did not store it empty of CO2. I must agree about the 1377 and 1322 with 1399 shoulder stock. The 1377 is one of my two primary air guns. Though I personally prefer .177 caliber.

Honestly I have a .177 springer and I am really not impressed. I would prefer my marlin bolt action .22 with shorts. Its quieter than my pellet rifle , bullet weight is 3x more and velocity is fairly close to equal. There are some good youtube vids comparing the pellets to the shorts and you find its vastly superior for small game.

Most of the pellet guns in the video- except perhaps the Air Force gun- are not really good hunting pellet guns. While there are suitable pellet guns for the purpose of small game- those usually need to be "rated" at about 1000~1300 FPS for .177 and 900 to 1200 FPS for .22 . Even then- those guns are packing only about 1/4 to 1/10th the power of a single .22LR - but they can be quiet. To get sufficient velocity- you really need a rifle - not a pistol sized barrel. In my opinion, most of the pellet guns shown here are only good for small birds, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. The pump-ups are generally only good, again my opinion, for scaring off animals like rabbits, small dogs, and other unwanted pests.
@navyman8903

.22LR's are not for "WROL" or shit hits the fan. They are for practice, plinking, and hunting small game. People need to separate these two, and with the quickness. Also I do not think pellet guns have a place in any defensive role what so ever.

lots to read and digest, very well done and informative video. a few thoughts if I may. (1) the chinese make a decent very budget break barrel. (2) try finding firearm ammo in any substantial amount these days not allways as easy peasy as it should be and expense poses an issue as well as long term storage in shtf scenario. air power on the other hand has addressed that issue for now. you have heard the Phrase " I dont know how ww3 will be fought but ww4 will be fought with sticks and stones" never has that been more evident than now.tech has emblazoned us with new tools that have made old tools obsolete and it keeps moving faster and faster spoiling us in a way that can weaken and crumble complete society.. we should be allways vigilant to watch for such. so in a real world ( not a flat earth model) when and if the shtf , { and it will} it is a good practice to be prepared as possible. those pumpers will become sought after and break barrels highly. because the first thing people are going to exhaust before the world is made riight is ammo at which point the fire stick becomes simply a stick and pellet guns which have not been stored proper will lose seals and valves at which point the only upside will be the amount of pellets left ( stones). Lengthy reply I Know , but just sayin . do not forget the bow the slingshot the sling , a means to utlize those stones and snares and traps as well. , a means to utlize those sticks, it seems this is a video promoting Crosman , and very well done at that. a lot of knowledge you shared here . check out archer air and needfull things . my 13xx will in fact take down a hog after the mods found there and other online sources. keep spare valves and seals handy and a small stash of tools in a pack. if using pcp be sure to have a hand pump handy even if you are filling with a compressor or scba tank now, actually its a good idea to have 2 hand pumps and the rebuild kits on hand as well. surgical rubber tubing on hand for slingshots bicycle tubes will degrade. air power is a good investment , 30 cal break barrels and 71 cal pcp becoming popular big game hunting tools. so self defense as well but lets not spoil what we currently have and can use without paying the cost of range fees and ammo. carefully consider the term shtf and enjoy and promote calm waters, some big fish in there for sure. all that said ... to the video poster . Awesome job, now I am going to take that can of worms that was just opened and head to the river, hell I may toss a sand shark takedown in the pack. and when i git back perhaps I will get a bit of target practice done in the back yard or cellar after cleaning those fish and cleaning and preping my tools and knives used in the aqusition of anticipated fish wether aquired or not. then perhaps time will be left near the end of the day to work on the chinese finger trap. and kniw JUST FOR TODAY shall be able to lay my head on that pillow at days end feeling safe and secure cause ive got that trusty cast iron fry pan allways nearby.
