This video was shot in Avi's Kitchen, recorded in a bedroom closet for $400. Won them their first of three Grammy Awards. It was onward and upward for them ever since. Great reaction Thx Kiki 😎

Kiki I really enjoyed your reaction and your energy. I loved when you started to dance (I always dance at that same spot too). And when you said come on bass I laughed out loud. The basso profundo, Avi Kaplan (pronounced Ah-vee) and the beatboxer (Kevin Olusola) are the best rhythm section ever in my opinion. They were roommates and dubbed by Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men on the singing competition the Sing Off as the Meat and Potatoes of the group. This group is so talented and diverse. Each member is a musical genius. If you've not yet reacted to their video of Hallelujah (has over 679 million views) please do that one next. Looking forward to more PTX!!! btw, they also have 3 Grammy wins. This one was #2 and was filmed in Avi and Kevin's apartment (the kitchen and closet). Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is Grammy# 2 (no words, no problem for Pentatonix) and a collaboration with Dolly Pardon of Jolene is Grmmy#3.

Ever wonder how a group with no instruments could win a Grammy for covering a song with no words? Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies😉

My favorite original by ptx is Love Again. The song really showcases Avi (the bass) and Kevin(the beatboxer).

This was my first PTX video a few years ago. I had to watch it 5 times in a row to figure out what each member was doing. Amazing.

The blue contacts does freak a few, but it also set them apart to enter and Win their first Grammy. Kevin had trouble with the blue contacts, so he had the shades when the group changes from blue to purple. Great reaction.

Hi Kiki, I have now watched all of your PTX videos, and you’re doing a fabulous job! Hallelujah, Can You Feel the Love Tonight and The Prayer all show off their expertise with anthemic songs; Gold, Come Along and Cheerleader are so much fun; and Imagine and Say Something will tug at your heartstrings. One of my favorites lately has been their original, Anchor, but anything that catches your eye will be a good one. Don’t worry abt making the videos transparent, PTX fans have seen them countless times before and we’re really here to watch you fall in love with them. (Can you imagine the glee of the high school choir director that had Scott, Mitch and Kirstie all at the same time? It was a huge high school, but still!) Peace from Ohio …

GOLD by Kiiara. Watch her first. I love how they skip themselves like a D.J. scratching. Also Kevin’s beatboxing is INSANE!!

Kiki, I got a real kick watching your real time reactions to this video. Your face was really serious in the beginning. You were probably trying to get accustomed to the blue contacts. You're not the first one to be a little unsettled by the staring blue eyes. You started to get into the upbeat tempo, then stopped and stared during some of the busier image changes, like you were trying to keep track of who was doing what. You seemed to enjoy it more when you weren't looking at the screen. Thanks for the PTX reaction! Three of my favorites by PTX are: Gold (Kiarra cover), Run To You, and My Heart With You.

This video is a mashup of 7 songs by the French EDM duo Daft Punk: Technologic, One More Time, Get Lucky, Digital Love, Harder-Better-Faster-Stronger, Television Rules the Nation, Around the World (although you only hear that one from Kirstin during Avi's solo and in the final mashup at the end of the video).

Hi Kiki, love being able to share your journey through PTX heaven. First time I saw this I just couldn’t understand how they did it. It is so insanely intricate and if you’ve ever tried singing a cappella you know how hard it is just to find the harmony. They did it with runs! Awestruck. Check out Daneliya Tuleshova, she was on AGT in 2021, and has an incredible voice not to mention over a million subscribers

Daft Punk always dressed like robots so I think that’s the reason for the blue contacts.
