In this video I show a retro multiplayer setup using two Pentium I classic systems (Siemens Nixdorf - Pentium 133mhz and IBM PC 330 - Pentium 166mhz) with serial and parallel direct connection cables. We DONT use any network cards in this video.
I am controlling the Siemens Nixdorf in the left and my brother is at the IBM PC 330 in the right.
We had lots of fun, lost track of time and the video is very long. If you get bored, you can jump at the games we played:
- Quake I (320x240) in ms-dos using serial direct link starts at minute 8.
- The Need for Speed (I) in ms-dos using serial direct link starts at minute 39.
- Network Q Rally in windows 95 using parallel direct link (IPX) starts at minute 55.
- WinQuake I (640x480) in windows 95 using parallel direct link (IPX) starts at 1 hour and 5 mins.
- F-22 Lightning II in ms-dos using serial direct link starts at 1 hour and 16 mins.
