This is our traditional Christmas meal, along with twice baked potatoes and roasted broccoli and cauliflower. Mmmm now I’m hungry 😋

This is a great recipe. If my daughter wasn’t pescatarian I’d make it for Christmas. I’m making salmon. Do you have any good recipes for salmon?

I can only eat well-done meat. If you do it low and slow, you can get well-done tenderloin that is moist and flavorful. This recipe looks so good - just an extra 20 minutes in the oven and tent when out.

Beef tenderloin is my favorite. I fix the steaks sometimes. This looks delicious. We also go to a local restaurant here in Mason City, Iowa called Northwestern Steakhouse. They’ve been in business for over 100 years. I think there is a good steakhouse down in your area. If you have one close, you have to try it. The tenderloin steak literally melts in your mouth, they’re that good.

Your recipe sounds absolutely delicious. However my favorite is extra rare. Seared on the outside and red in the middle. It’s so good.

Does the beef cool off too much? Is it hot when you serve?

How did you not deglaze that pan with your sauce to combine flavor

May I ask a question. Why would you want your meat to be dry?

I made this last night and sadly the peppercorn flavors and gravy were too strong! I did not even double them for the 4 pound beef tenderloin, which was the smallest cut I could buy.

Embarrassingly enough.... when Kaleb invited us over to look in the developing sauce, I actually sat up, leaned forward and craned my neck to peek into the pan. Luckily, I live alone so no one saw me do that. (Ohhhh. Oops. I just told the whole world.)

You won’t say that next time I’m driving through small towns in southeastern Iowa looking for cool little antique stores and end up stopping at your farm for a light dinner....
