If they ever re-record the Percy Jackson audiobooks with the Percy Jackson cast trust I will be jumping on that

Wouldn’t it be awkward since well… Annabeth is white in the books if they do that? I mean… sorry if I’m racist but California tan isn’t black… so if walker read his lines as Percy and read the lines of Annabeth’s description when it says blonde princess curls, grey eyes and a California tan? I don’t know but to me that would be really awkward
@kimberlybrinkhuis

@@JosephAmbrose_ Doesn't matter if you ask me, it's not about what they look like, you only hear their voice, and if it's not for you then the original audiobooks will still be there, and you know they might update the description for all the characters a bit, by maybe giving Percy curly honey blond locks and sea bleu eyes, or even give Annabeth grey eyes and blonde braids, or just her black braided hair (or a different hairstyle) and dark brown eyes. Also you can just close your eyes as a voice of someone isn't linked to race or even hair color, and in this case it has nothing to to with that, this is the moment I wish more people could have the same world perspective of me, I can't see race anymore, and I don't judge people on what they look like, in this case what matters is the voice acting and they way personality gets delivered in a audio form, which is already great in the serie, and the audiobooks right now only have one person narrating them, so getting three different voices for Grover, Percy and Annabeth (and as many other as they could, probably giving Percy the other lines that are left as he is the main narrator) that is so much depth that would be great to add

Watching the episode now, it’s really good. My only thing is I wish they would move away from r these kids just going to be friends thing. I know I know but it It’s kinda creepy to me since they r literally first cousins. Like the lady said in the last episode the whole thing is family drama. So yeh besides that I’m digging it, but yeh Percy, dude Annabell is a family member. Ares is ur cousin and he’s Annabell’s uncle.

Gods are weird… Zeus’ wife, Hera, is his sister. Like his actual sister, same mother and father. Hades’ wife is Persephone, who is Zues’ daughter. Yes, Hades is married to his niece. Basically, the Olympian god family tree is a big circle. This isnt even Percy Jackson, it’s just how Greek mythology is. The books explain this by saying Gods don’t have DNA, and thus can marry their siblings (weird I know but the important thing is that unless you have the same Godly parent as a demigod, you aren’t related in any way, thus you can date them. Percy and Annabeth have different godly parents, so it’s ok since gods don’t have DNA)

It’s Greek mythology first off lol but also the godly half doesn’t really count.

You obviously haven’t read the books?? It’s literally explained that you are only directly related to other demigods who share a godly parent. And Annabeth x Percy canonically end up dating so I’d get used to it if i were you

But this was a great episode, Ares was fun, I like Grover manipulating the conversation with Ares, and I love Percy and Annabeth's growing relationship.

I don't think it changes him, for a god, a demi-god pleading for their friend to be saved is probably is nothing new, its just the fact that he isn't like Ares and is able to be empathetic.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the changes from the book like I was to a lot of the changes they've made so far, the plot from the book of the action sequence at the water park was a perfect team effort between Percy Annabeth and Grover, and they missed out on that, instead they replaced the cool ropes/nets and mechanical spiders with that weird trap chair that Annabeth convinced Hephaestus (who isn't supposed to be there) to unlock with the power of ~friendship~, and they nerfed Percy's power when he didn't start the whole ride and just whisked Annabeth toward him (which they also cut away from all the action in that part too) I didn't like that compared to their quick wittedness and trust in each other during the book's sequence, where they all contributed to getting the shield and getting out safe. also the grover/ares scenes weren't that great for me and are sorta spoiling the twist of Ares turning out to be one of the main big bads by putting too much suspicion onto him too soon, I also missed Percy's anger fueled interactions with Ares (in the books Annabeth and Grover are both smart enough to keep quiet and shoot Percy countless death glares for his behavior/words) looking at this plot path they took in comparison to the books, it lacks the compelling action, smart choices, and character building that the book had in exchange for a slow moving plot where their problems had to be solved for them instead of showing their tact and teamwork building

Give it some slack man... like this is the first season and probably disney weren't too confident to allocate budget and restrict it to just 8 eps given the reputation of how bad the movie ratings got....now the reception is really good and I bet the coming seasons it will just become better to adapt with more screentime and episodes per season
