THIS IS SINGING! No autotune, no special effects, no assistance to vocals whatsoever and he did it "LIVE" as well. They don't make'em like him anymore. My grandpa used to sing this to my grandmother and no matter where they were even driving he would pull over and drag her out of the car to dance. He used to sing it to her with such conviction he loved her more than life. He passed on in 2013 and grandma is now very sick and on her way out. I came here to listen to this to remind myself when it’s her time to cross over he will be there probably with the real Percy singing and dancing. I need to listen to this to remind myself she’s going to be in a better place with her love. Life can be so heartbreaking sometimes

Michael Bolton is probably the one who made this song worldwide famous but Percy's, damn, you can hear the pain and emotion on his voice! He deserves the appreciation, it's a shame that he doesn't have a star in Hollywood walk of fame. RIP Legend

Wow! I would call this Percy's song a SOUL song! He is pouring his heart into this song to communicate his lyrics to the hears everywhere. I first heard this song, when I was stationed in the southern state. And when his voice was ringing out through the radio, it was so fitting to the southern atmosphere. Funny, I didn't get to see his picture till, just now. What God-given talent Percy had, enabling us to enjoy his songs even today! May his soul rest in peace with the Lord!

Danced in the dark on New Years Eve with my ex to this song. That was almost 3 years ago and I'm physically incapable of listening to this song without crying.
