And she did it while holding a camera and eating an apple. That is automatic double push. Awesome skating, Sara.

Great video! Are you planning on making a step by step breakdown to learn double push? I haven't seen a good tutorial (with required drills) for double push. Do you continuously push with your legs or is there a "glide phase" where you passively roll on one leg?
@ThePascalbriand

Thanks. I made 2 big tutorial to explain (not showing drills) … idea is to have no or very little gliding inactive moment

Very smooth movements and it makes fun to look at the video🤗, very awesome. A technical question: The knees seem to go to the center. They seem to left the alignment of shoulder, hips and skates. Is it less effective?
@ThePascalbriand

In real it’s less than in the video the lens of the camera create also for deformation ... also it’s urban skates here so may be setting of the frame was not perfectly setup line she would do on her speed skates.

@@ThePascalbriand thank you for your answer 🙂 I already assumed that it is a case of the perspective 😇. This season I come to my goal, the double push, nearer, thanks to your great videos and those of Joey Mantia 🤗. And I enjoy the very smooth movements of this technique. It always makes me smile. Many greetings to you and your wife from Germany 🙂

I had never heard that women couldn’t double push until I read the title of this video. So I guess you said it? Very disappointed in the video title. Would rather have just seen this woman’s awesome double pushing skills than have to read a click bait title perpetuating stereotypes in a hobby that should be trying desperately to erase them. Roller Skating is for everyone. She can do it. He can do it. They can do it.

So you assume wrong ... because I actually just say women can do it as good or better. Many time I hear people telling no women double push that is why I wanted to show... recently I hear it again ... so it’s time to change this vision. Awesome skater like Theresa cliff was also skating this amazing technique and many more. It’s actually to fight this stereotype this tittle. Sorry if it doesn’t sound like this... may be it’s from my English way to speak ? Let me know if you have better title actually, because i also never use title that are just here to attract or something Wow. Here was just actually linked to what I see on Facebook recently also. :-) ... if it sound wrong let me know I can also put something like « Sara have an amazing double push » ... thanks for am participating in this progress

Hello again Lauren, I change the tittle. Let me Know if it’s better this way. I didn’t realize this (old) title was something that maintain stereotype ... but I learn from it so it’s corrected now.

@@ThePascalbriand Thank you so much for changing the title, really appreciate it so much! I know that the content of the video proved the stereotype wrong but the old title still keeps the stereotype alive. Now people will click a video to see an awesome double push and get to see it done perfectly by a woman, stereotype CRUSHED! (Love your videos by the way, you are both super skilled and I have been learning a lot from you in the three months I’ve been subscribed!! Thank you both for your awesome content!)

Lauren Reilly, when you look at video's of women inline marathons and compare the same marathon with men, you see that women tend to do a less pronounced double push than the men do. That is not to say that women cannot do this, but it appears that in general the wider hips of women make a very pronounced double push harder to do. Have a look at this video of a marathon of the Netherlands and see for yourself. This should not prevent women from trying to do a pronounced double push, since clearly allot of women can. But that this is merely a "false" stereotype, that does not appear to be the case. kzitem.info/news/bejne/pqmMsWqfiWZ5iII
