Finally, let me tell you this. I don't live in USA; moreover, English is a second language to me, but I became obsessed with this case, as a lot of people, after learning about, last year. And believe me, I wish justice could be done for this little girl: if the Ramseys did it, I wouldn't give a damn. But... since we don't know for sure whom of them did it, what if they didn't at all? We want justice, but justice couldn't be served convicting innocent people, just because of popular claims.

That could be true. Idk enough about legal proceedings to know the difference. Although i have heard it said that many defense attorneys would say that Hunter was obligated to sign the indictment and potentially abused his power. Also, i think a problem w/corruption exists all over the world- not just in CO or the US. Steve Thomas's point was about Boulder being a "special" kind of community. He believed if JonBenet's family had lived about anywhere else, her parents would have been arrested.

IMO, even though the crime scene was contaminated from the first day, BPD still wound up doing some great police work along the way. Steve Thomas had pointed our numerous times that if they had been anywhere else, the Ramseys would have been picked up. Apparently, the Ramseys were friends with both Alex Hunter, as well as the following DA of Boulder, Mary Lacy. Many of us think this has much to do with how and why the Ramseys walked.

The media doesn't care how distraught anybody is. All they care about is getting their story, and who gives a crap if they lie about anything, as long as a paper sells.

this is so sick and annoying - all the people in charge care about are their egos and who is in charge. No one cares about focusing on the physical evidence or getting justic for JB and her family. It doesn't help when the media are stirring things up to - they are all partly to blame for JB's killer being free now. it's so infuriating.

Sounds to me if Boulder police were allowed to their job, Patsy would have cracked under pressure and told the truth. I bet JR is relieved she died

Well, as much as I respect Steve Thomas or anybody wanting justice for an innocent victim, his theory on Patsy accidentally beating JonBenet and then set the garrote and "staging" the scene is the most preposterous of all proposed theories about this case. And you know, Thomas was a loyal Boulder PD detective and his boss Eller hated Alex Hunter (or there was mutual hatred), so his pointing of Boulder as a "special" community is referring to the handling of the cases from the part of Boulder DA

What do you mean by "were allowed to their job"? Beating her? Oh, my God, I have to assume that if some of your beloved ones is accused of a crime you will be ok if the police "is allowed to their job", won't you?

@tinkerbellxx101 I would be too and I'm sure the Ramsey's were pissed too. any loving parent would be pissed. Parents who murder or harm their own children never loved them in the first place. I would rather harm myself than do that to an innocent child. The Ramsey's probably didn't want to deter the investigation even though they didn't like how the police treated them.

After Patsy died they came out with a new way to check dna, they said in no way was it Patsy. It's sad she had to live with the spotlight on her being the one who did it. I remember the neighbor saying she heard a child screaming....now it would have to be pretty damn loud in the winter and living next door to hear a child scream. So she supposedly hears a child scream and then what...goes back to sleep? Beyond suspicious, or she's someone who just wanted the spotlight on her for 15 min.

Well, it wasn't on me getting you offended with my remarks, so I apologize to you. That said, my question remains the same: what do you mean for "police being allowed to do their job"? They botched the investigation from the beginning and they did even worst with his obsession with the Ramseys.
