Both athletes, cowboy & bull gave everything that night. Spectacular show!

You shouldn't compare today's standards to a ride 25 years old. It was the first perfect score. Congrats to the man that earned it :0) well done sir!

In today's bull riding, there's simply no way that would ever be scored 100. Mid-low 90's I'd bet. But back then, I can completely understand how that would be 100. Wolf Man was a stud, unlike any other bull ever seen before or even after him. The judges simply hadn't ever seen a bull do what he did and the rider stick it on him like he did. Wade Leslie made one hell of a bull ride, that's the truth.

Thanks Cody. As my good friend, the late and still great Phil Gardenhire said to me every time we spoke, "that was one hell of a ride!"

I disagree I think it was very much a 100 point ride. It could have been 97 sure but both judges gave it what they saw so it’s 100.

Great ride on a great bull! Good guy too. I think the 2 guys that scored a ride perfect might have been caught up in the atmosphere a little too much.

It was amazing but how does he get 50 points when he was off the side for the last two seconds!? A rider has to be in shape and cover the bull for the entire 8 seconds not out of shape for the last 2 seconds to get 50 points. If he would have covered it for all 8 I’d say sure, give him 100 but he didn’t.

But the judges didn’t see it like that, remember the bull gets points too. And they saw 50, and from the way it started out I saw 50 also.

A bull jumped in the crowd at a rodeo in Madison square garden and a young real cowboy from Oklahoma roped him saving some peoples lives. It made the young cowboy famous from then on, and of course he was the immortal Will Rogers.

This was 25years ago. For the time, he earned every single point they gave him. Sure, bulls buck harder now days... but these guys blazed the trail. Soo just be grateful!! Btw, the old scoring system went all the way up to 200 points! Ha my grandpa has a 194 point bareback ride 😂😂 Good ride! Haters will hate.

well Wade gave it his all that night and you'd expect a bull born from the legendary Red Rock would put up a show. Either way that was a ride the rodeo world will not soon forget.

I vaguely remember this, and it was an amazing ride, but it simply should not have been scored 100. Wolfman was quick, bucked hard, twisted his hips, but never changed direction, should not have been scored perfect. Also, the recovery at the biginning was about half luck, he's lucky he didn't crack his skull. He settleed into him then, but aside from the sheer abruptness of Wolfman's spin and the irregular rhythm of his hips he didn't really challenge the rider throught the middle of the ride. Should've been high nineties. Neither the rider nor the bull were "perfect'. But again, amazing ride.

I must agree, while it was a great ride on a great bull. It wasn't a perfect ride on a perfect bull! That has yet to happen.

This is to all who are jealous of this man’s score; to all you wannabe’s and know you never can be. You only make yourself look foolish and that is because you know just how much you are lacking in your abilities and that is why you have to try to try and belittle another’s mans achievement. A person who belittles another person or who is a braggart is a person who suffers low self esteem, and is trying to fool themselves as well everyone else, you should be pitied. I feel sorry for you.

Wade showed up that night, climbed on, hooked up and did his job to the best of his ability. He covered Wolfman (one of the best bulls of his time) for a perfect score. Wade did not score himself, two PRCA sanctioned judges put that number up. I get what you are saying Ezell.

I was there that day in 1991. I live still here in the Rogue valley. This ride was not a 100 point ride. there was alot of rumors that the rodeo association and stock contractor were in colusion to gain fame..... afterall how do you really judge a "perfect ride"? this ride by Wade leslie was a 93-95 point ride at best. No way it would hold up to todays standards either. It was a good ride but a scheme for fame and recognition.... Basically the truth of the matter was the judges and stock contractor had their minds made up if Wade covered Wolfman for the 8 seconds, it would be a 100 point score. All the talk and media attention was on Wolfman even before they cracked the gate.
