Easily one of the greatest and most feel-good television theme songs.

So much nostalgia packed into one beautiful TV show... A beautiful story of a guy who goes to America to fufill his dreams... It is unbelievably disgusting how we went from shows like THIS, to the Kardashians. My mom told me people lost their creative grip when the Internet became Mainstream. I miss the nostalgia like these 80's shows... I just wish there was a TV channel dedicated to these types of shows on ALL platforms. I just wish we all got our grip on creativity back...

ABC had some incredible themes back in the 80's and early 90's(Perfect Strangers,Family Matters,Step-by-Step). I know there are plenty more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

What I love best about this opening is how they practically synced the 'Dance of Joy' to the music. It's like when you hear this song, the Dance of Joy is the right choreography to it. Love this song. The melody and the lyrics are perhaps the most inspirational of them all. Whenever you feel a little down or if things are going to hard, think of this song. You will stand tall on the wings of your dreams and nothing's gonna stop you now.

I was 4 or 5 years old when this was aired here in the Philippines way back 1987 (RPN-9) and this was indeed one of the best sitcoms that I watched (aside from Growing Pains, Knight Rider) I'm 38 now and I am thankful that I grew up watching Larry and Balki and Perfect Strangers was actually part of my childhood. Of course it is don't be ridiculous!!! ❤

Nice 65 Mustang Larry! Though I don't think we ever saw it again on the show. They probably rented just for that day and just hoped they never needed an external driving shot for the series haha. Anyway I love this version of the theme the best! I remember I only started watching in like season 3 or 4 I think, so when I saw this on repeats during the summer when I was home I was like, This version is way better!

They cut it short in syndication to fit more commercials, so most people have not seen the full version since it originally aired. ABC family was good though about showing the full versions of shows with the full intros and cold openings.
