Try layering lambswool (found in drug stores) with a wedge makeup sponge or two in each shoe's toebox (sandwich style with sponge in the middle). The lambswool will mold to your toes. Use that along with shoe insoles to fill up the space. Also, wearing Mary Jane shoes will help you stay in the shoe. Hope this helps.

@PerfectFitPointe

The inserts provide a highly customized fit inside the pair of pointe shoes they're molded in. Typically we would recommend molding a new pair for a new size or style of shoe unless they are quite similar to the ones the inserts were molded in. You can definitely transfer them from pair to pair of shoes in a consistent size/style!

I honestly don’t think these will work the best just because the spots that get the most friction will have less in that spot. Also I have one foot shorter than the other so the one foot sinks when I got on pointe but I just put extra padding in to prevent that. But with this it wouldn’t help that problem
@PerfectFitPointe
6 жыл бұрын
Many dancers find that the inserts solve all of their blister problems, simply because there is less overall shifting and rubbing in the shoe from the improved fit. They should also help with the foot size discrepancy... more of the impression material would squeeze out from the larger foot, while filling in more spaces for your smaller foot. Hope this helps!

How should you be fitted for the pointe shoes you want to use with these? For example, I was fitted with an ouch pouch originally so I can just use these instead?
@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
Hi and great question! Here's what we recommend for shoe fitting. Because the inserts are custom-molded to a specific shoe, you will want to wait until after you have selected and purchased a pair of shoes before molding the inserts. This means that you should try on pointe shoes with a very thin gel pad (or no padding at all) until you find a shoe that provides the most glove-like fit for your foot shape. Custom-molding the inserts will then refine and perfect the fit on the inside of the shoe. Since you were fitted with an Ouch Pouch, you should be fine, and would be good to go to try molding the PerfectFit inserts in your shoe. You can learn more about this question and others on our FAQ page: perfectfitpointe.com/faqs/. Hope that helps!

Ok, one more question. Would these alter the way the shoes cast to your feet as you break them in vs using gel insert such as an ouch pouch?
@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
Your pointe shoes will still break in as normal! And because the inserts are flexible, they will be able to flex as the shoe breaks in (i.e., the crown flattens). While a pointe shoe will really only mold to your foot where the box is quite thin (higher up the vamp and around the wings), the inserts will mold to your foot from your metatarsals down to your toes.

I have two questions. Will this help prevent compressed toenails? And what do I do if I still feel pain at my pressure points?
@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
Have you been able to experiment with different styles of pointe shoes, as well? A well-fitted shoe can go a long way in reducing pressure points, and the better fit you start with in the pointe shoe itself, the better. Yes, the PerfectFit inserts are designed to basically adapt your foot to fit whatever shoe you’re wearing, and because the putty flows under your shorter toes, it evens out weight distribution and greatly reduces the chance of bruised toenails on your longest toe. This will greatly help in reducing pressure points, but if you still feel pain on the tip of your longest toe, you could try putting a thin gel layer in the platform of the shoe (like a cut-up piece of an Ouch Pouch, or something similar).

@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
Good question! I'd say they're a little bit in between... they are definitely firm, not super soft and jelly-like, since their main function is to act as a fitting solution, not as padding. That's how they provide support and make the shoe responsive to your foot. That said, although they are firm, they are definitely flexible... more like the consistency of a rubber ball. Hope that helps!

+PerfectFit Pointe, I was just wondering, did you need to remold another insert every time i buy a new pair of pointe shoes ? and because i need toe spaces, do i need to buy new spaces every time i have new molded inserts or can my spaces come out of the mold ? Thank you
@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
+Keisha Lau You don't need to remold the inserts every time you buy a new pair of pointe shoes, so long as the size/style/make of your shoe is the same (or quite similar). The success of the design comes from the fact that the insert molds precisely to the shape/position of the foot inside the shoe, and both of those factors would change if you switched to a different shoe size/style. But the inserts are definitely removable, so you can transfer them to a new pair when your old shoes wear out! :) The spacers become permanently encased in the insert once molded, but it would technically be possible to slit the little purple fabric sleeve and pull them out. The turquoise moldable material doesn't adhere to silicon, only porous materials like the fabric. Hope this helps! What happens when your feet grow or you get a new pair of shoes?
@PerfectFitPointe
8 жыл бұрын
The inserts are certainly transferrable from one pair of pointe shoes to the next, but if you dramatically change shoe brands or styles (ex: from a more tapered shoe to a more square shoe) then we definitely recommend molding a new pair. Similarly, as your feet grow, the same inserts should work for awhile, but eventually you'll want to re-mold. Once you get a new pair of shoes, we'd recommend trying your existing pair of PerfectFit inserts in there and see how they feel. If they're sitting a bit funny, probably a sign to make a new pair, but they might still feel great :) Hope that helps!

Do you have to do one foot then the other or can you do them both at the same time??
@PerfectFitPointe

We highly recommend that you do one foot at a time because of the importance of timing. When you mold them one at a time, you have more control and focus over the result, and the moldable material will be nice and fluid when you first put it on your foot so it can flow where it needs to go and escape when needed. You only have to do the molding process once, though, and then you'll be set! :)

I have really wide tapered toes with the big toe being the longest. I just ordered these because I’m fed up with the amount of pain I get at the outer corner of my big toe where the nail ends. It usually stings so bad that it feels like I’m either get poke with a needle or dancing on knifes. The pain is the same as stubbing my toe accept it doesn’t go away because I have to stay up en pointe and roll through. My question is since I get so much pain in that area would I mold the insert the same way that someone with a long second toe would?

Hi I am having a problem with my pointe shoes. My big to is the only toes touching the tip of the shoes witch I very uncomfortable. Do you think this would help

Yes, the PerfectFit inserts help distribute your weight more evenly across the tips of all your toes, thereby relieving pressure on your longest toe (and without adding any extra bulk there).

I would assume so, but it may take away your ability to feel the rock

Ich würde das nicht machen. Du wirst die Flexibilität deines vorderfußes komplett einbüßen. Und die Ausübung von Druck an sehr kleinen bouldersteinen etc. wäre meiner Meinung nach fast unmöglich :/

I would try these but I kind of don’t want to be relying on them to dance in pointe shoes in a way I want stronger more tough feet
