I done termite work for over 11 years no matter how much you treat termites will find a way back in. And the workers get paid very little and it's hard work. So many products don't do what they say they will. The guy down drilling was doing it wrong a foot is 12 inches apart.

Maybe a rubber cone would be useful for your slab injector. Also you should follow label instructions Long Sleeved Shirt and 4 Gallons for every 10 feet. The way your are doing it there is no possible way your are using the proper amount of chemical.

He probably calibrated his liquid before starting to treat then used a set count based on what part of the treatment specs he was proforming vertical holes , trench etc. Chemical coming out of the drill hole during injection doesn't mean he is or isnt applying enough it depends on the compaction and type of soil under the slab.

I only saw 1 person wearing any kind of water resistant gloves when applying chemicals and the one injecting in the slab holes, what chemical were you using? I don’t know any label that says it’s ok the wear short sleeves and fabric gloves when applying.

Damn. Working without a stop box or drill interrupter. I wonder how many pipes they've busted. Oh and I've always worn long sleeves shirts. It's a requirement.

+Alan Esquivel We have never hit a pipe! We identify the pipes and water lines prior to any drilling. We have basement construction which allows us to identify the utilities. We also treat exterior only no interior drilling. We don't wear long sleeve shirts for application but use sleeves for mixing.

A swarm tube ? Never heard of it. Termite 101 would be a good thing.
@dblhlr
9 жыл бұрын
A swarm tube is a formation of soil used by alates as a step to emerge from the wall or colony. The termites colonies activity in these locations is limited to swarm season. Not a good location to apply dust or apply an above ground Sentricon station...i suggest you take that course....and keep using that premise...lol
@philwhipple4557

dblhlr It's called a exit tube not a swarm tube. Exit tubes are made in an attempt to find a shortcut back to the colony. I've been in the termite business since 1976 and know quite a lot however I learn something new everyday. Termite chemicals are all pretty much equal. They all must be approved by the epa for effectiveness in the same manner. Termidor is no better than dominion or premise, it just costs way more. If you can afford it go ahead and use it but you could make more money if you used something less expensive.and accomplish the same thing. Last time I checked people are business to make money, and the smarter you are the more money you will make.

Termidor HE is hands down the best I've ever used. Zero callbacks for retreats, 18 inch drill spacing, 2x4 trenches. It's all about the science now. BASF has done a great job with its formulation. Alpine is really good as well.

@dwightanderson8331

Tile is drilled with a smaller drill bit in the mortar joints. If customer doesnt want it drilled write that on the service agreement with the understanding if they show up in that room tile must be drilled then have them sign after explaining to them.

that won't work, thats a swarm tube.....only active during swarms (Termidor foamer)...if you used a subslab injector, you might actually be able to deliver 4 gals per 10. You certainly under applied with that rod......not to mention the fact that the label makes no mention of applications on top of the slab....if yur gonna get on youtube....do it right!

Termidor is over rated, too expensive and not any better than Premise or Dominion. The key to an effective termite treatment is not the chemical it's the knowledge and understanding of termites and construction.
