So well said! I am a huge fan of your work, thank you for sharing. Question for you, how would you program speed training when your sport is powerlifting or strongman? Would you suggest the West Side's conjugate or something different? Thanks!

Sir make a video on multi evnt athletes (heptathlon, decathlon) periodization of strength and power training plan...

Can beginner athletes do concentric only loaded jumps in off-season and what is the load % for it ? Can I do this with plyometrics which focuses on the eccentric phase like depth drops and progress to fast SSC exercises as competition approaches ?

Yes, beginners can do concentric only loaded jumps. % of what? you dont have a 1RM for loaded power exercises

Im asking how much load to use for loaded jumps.Isn't it based on 1RM of squat ?@@FlowHighPerformance1

Do beginners need to periodize like this ? Im a beginner athlete currently training for 100m which is coming up in 5 months and came across this loaded power training concept.

btw when periodizing like this, when doing heavy loads in off-season, should you progress by adding more weight or by decreasing it ?

Periodizing this way is ideal, but it isnt entirely necessary. For power training, you want to decrease load so that you are able to train with faster velocities closer to your season

I just didn't get the covering of unloaded power training throughout the season...

unloaded power training involves faster movement speed than loaded power. Unloaded power training is more specific to athletic movements, since court and field sports dont require athletes to move external loads. Therefore, unloaded power training will probably have higher transfer to athletic performance. So, unloaded power training is used when athletes need to be in peak condition. Hopefully this makes sense 👍

@@FlowHighPerformance1 you're making a point on plyometrics - emphasizing both SSC and reactive speed-strength aspects and working on that muscle-tendon stiffness. my question is when we approach power training should we go into the high-force curve and then progress to the high-velocity curve closer to the peak?

Hey great video! Small doubt, does it apply to Olympic Lift variations too?
