Peroni (red) is a different beer to Peroni Nastro Azzurro. In Italy Peroni (red) is pretty much the bog standard everywhere lager. As cheap as 0.80 euros in supermarkets for 660 ml bottles. Nastro Azzurro is supposed to be Peroni's "premium brand", and is much more expensive even in Italy. Peroni (red) is maltier, Nastro Azzurro is much grassier and lighter. I prefer Peroni (red), it's a shame that Nastro Azzurro has effectively been renamed Peroni in the UK and is all we really get.

I’ve followed the channel a while, I’ve just had my first Peroni red and love it, different type of beer! Come straight to see your opinion, didn’t see this review before :(

No idea if you’ve reviewed it yet - but could you review Menabrea (Bionda). Just wondering how Italian lagers compare - but it’s a winner in my books!

Sounds nice. I can't even find the normal export peroni here that's not skunked. your dieting seems to be working well. Careful you don't wither away too much!

All the Mediterranean lagers are great for a hot day. This one is OK too but its not an all year round lager. For a winter lager I prefer a fuller taste and body like Pilsner Urquell. Thanks for a great review Paul and COYS!!!

I've just got back from Sorrento and to be fair this is the only Peroni that I drank, it's delicious compared to the Peroni Nastro Azzuro which is sold on mass here at vastly inflated prices, you can get this in 600ml bottles in their supermarkets for 80 pence!

Actually prefer the red to the Normal one we get which I feel is overrated.

I first encountered this in the UK in a pizza place, I asked the guy what the difference was between the red Peroni and the blue one and he said the red is more popular in Italy and actually tastes of beer!

The "blue label" peroni is made with corn and the red is just malt, I prefer the red. The blue is always one of the most expensive pints and definitely not worth it.

They've got the 330ml bottles of this red label in Home Bargains at the moment, quid a bottle. I drank a bottle of the normal blue label (5.1%) followed by a bottle of the red label (4.7%) stuff and to be honest with a direct comparison I think the blue one you see everywhere is better tasting and more refreshing. Peroni isn't something I'd chose to drink either really.

We got 2 different peronis but not this one. It’s been nearly 40 years since I had one, nothing all that special. 6/10 🎯 score.

£18.99 for 24 bottles. In Scotland.. Think a little bit better bottled version.
