I think that's supposed to be a rondel dagger? Big piece of spiked iron used for grappling and placing into gaps.

Makes sense to me. I have no idea. I personally wont be using that arm unless I decide to give a guy a shield... which is unlikely since the halberds and hammers are superior, :P

@@carthagemustbedestroyed for fights between men at arms in full plate of the era, it makes sense to include cause it literally often came down wrestling matches. But yeah, the other options are more flashy :)

The "spear thing" is probably a goedendag, meaning literally "good day!" in older german. It was a heavy spike style spear intended to punch through armor for relatively cheap. It was an iconic weapon of flemish militia.

I thought the goedendag was Moreso a peasants / cheap weapon but I see now it’s a similar design. I know there’s a few pointy bits at the end of sticks floating out there :)

@@carthagemustbedestroyed no yeah definitely agree there that it's much more of a peasant's weapon, but sometimes the peasants have a good idea! They probably included it for the flavor variety of having non-knightly men at arms and flemish soldiers who brought their own toys to war.
