Beautiful but here in Florida, the plant is sold as an annual and is planted outdoors, preferably in the shade. Mom,loves the plant, but never considered bring it indoors. Thanks, for the tip.

I bought one for 7.00 almost a foot. Repotted it and gently broke it into 3 😁 pieces..gave a neighbor 1. I kept the 2. They're beautiful 😍. They get morning partial sun. They spark ✨️ up my living room . And plant food once every two, months.

You make this plant sound so seductive/intriguing. I saw this plant at Home Depot this morning, so I'm researching it now, but I feel good about buying this plant. I thought the color was rare/original, but now, after hearing you describe this plant, I really like it. You make it sound like I bought a diamond in the rough.

Botanibabies ! : is that why? This plant has been a challenge for me. Planted it near the front walk = direct sun 11:00 am to 3:00 pm = wilting Planted it in the patio to get direct sun 12:00pm to 2:30pm = crispy Got nervous; bought a spare and planted it under a bush for only direct light... Walk pass it everyday, looks okay, but never really checked. Planted the original in the house with direct sun from sunrise to 8:00, then indirect light. Looks "skinny." Big leaves on long skinny branches. I plucked off leaves to make it "bush out," but now it looks skinnier. I'm going to try to "mist" it as you suggested. Meanwhile, "My expectations have been subverted." (i.e. Rain Johnson's Star Wars VIII)

Gerald N. How often are you watering it? If it’s getting that much sun, I would recommend watering it a few times a week depending on where you live. Bring in the PNW, I don’t get that much sun. Also, I went on a 3week vacation in July, so I lost this unfortunately 💔.

Botanibabies ! 😁 OMGosh... I over corrected twice. I checked the plant, which was foot away from a eastern window, and discovered it was dry (I usually over water my plants), so I took it on the patio and gently placed it in the shallow end of my koi pond, to water it from below, as I did an emergency check and maintenance of all my house plants... and I forgot! Not only did the plant sit stem-deep in pond water, it took two hours of direct tropical sun! I was soaked and wilting. I put it under a shady tree to get bright afternoon light, but even after four hours, it's better, but parts are still wilting. I think Sweden passed a few national "humane treatment of plant laws." If I were in Sweden, I'd be arrested!

Botanibabies ! : The plant is good. Was treating it like a sansevieria, aloe, philodendron, and Pothos. I'll try to water it more frequently without taking short cuts. Keeping it outside under the shade for a couple of days before bringing it back under my eastern window. Final update 😊

Hi Jenny, try allowing it to completely dry before watering it again. Otherwise it might need more humidity. Try to also use a spray bottle to mist your plant every day or so. But you should cut back on the watering in case it might be root rot?

Hi Ashley! No apology needed at all. You can continue to trim it to keep it at its desired size. This will also help to keep it looking nice and full. Unfortunately mine did not survive when I went on vacation 😭. This is a beautiful plant, good luck with yours!
