I miss the tone the series had, I wish Mr Meguro would go back makign a more atmospheric persona game again, perhaps with part of the old staff that did the original 3 persona games (P1, P2 IS & EP, not P3), to create a mixup of the old and new series peopel got accustom to it.

@@Evilriku13 Meguro is just one of many of atlus' music composers, he didn't write the story or even do much of the old game's soundtracks. P1 and the P2 games were written by Tadashi Satomi while 3-5 were written by Katsura Hashino. P5 was also Hashino's last game as writer for persona so p6 could actually end up returning to the old tone, but its most likely downhill from here.

A good intro to a game will tell you the mood and style of the game. From this, I can gather that Persona 1 is less of a game and more of an artistic experience revolving around the meaning of existence and how much every second matters.

I’ve honestly always preferred the more moody and atmospheric openings of the original Persona games. This one in particular sets up the tone of the game well and some neat visuals as well as some decent foreshadowing and symbolism. I think EP PSP’s opening does a good job of being more modern while keeping the original tone and atmosphere in check.

People that say the first two games are bad are just saying that with a mindset that compares them to modern games. They were received very well upon original release. The complaints I have heard revolve around the amount of level grinding involved and load times before fights. Not really anything that makes a game bad. Just an oldschool system that punishes you for avoiding enemies. I personally find the first two games better than the modern age persona games we see now. They're so much more gritty. Love em
