Welcome to my personal review of Peony ‘Coral Charm’
this is an astonishingly beautiful and easy to grow peony which will reward even the novice Gardener very quickly with huge opulent blooms
I have found from experience this particular variety does best on a slightly acidic soil in light or dappled shade, deep coral salmon pink buds open to large flouncy chalice shaped blooms containing a cluster of gold statements right at the centre when fully open the flowers are massive measuring anywhere between four and 6 inches in diameter
The growth is upright, strong and sturdy. This is a plant that will not need staking and there’s no need for a peony hoop so it’s great for the back of a border or for growing as a cut flower to bring into the house, where if harvested properly you can expect the blooms to last around five days in the vase
it has deep emerald green high gloss foliage and reaches around 90 cm to 1 m tall after establishing itself. You can expect your crown to produce one extra stem each year each one bearing one flower per season.
as the flower ages the coral colour will slowly bleach leaving behind tones of light lemon yellow and heavy cream. There is another peony very closely related to this one called coral Sunset which has much more orange and yellow marble through the bloom.
available in the UK through many stockists including farmer gracy
