Welcome to my personal review of Rose ‘Fighting Temeraire’-(Austrava) from david Austin roses
This simple and very attractive chameleon of a rose simply glows with colour and was launched in 2011 ,
Plant This in full Sun on a west or south facing aspect where it enjoys a free draining soil and where the light can catch and shine through its extraordinary simple but very pretty flowers
Creating a shrub around 3 1/2 feet tall and around 4 to 5 feet wide it has a large and sprawling informal habit
The flowers are large, approximately 3 1/2 to 4 inches across in diameter And it has a very strong repeat flowering from June all the way through to the end of August
The buds are tomato yellow in colour with a small amount of yellow at the base the flowers open with only 10 petals in each bloom and are a mixture of peach coral pink and yellow
Unfortunately, this particular variety does suffer with black spot and rust so try deep mulching it in the spring
The fragrance is fairly light and is of honey and zested lemons
Fragrance rating 3⭐️s
