This is a different version of the video I uploaded last time.
I judged it to be too dark in a normal viewing environment, especially on a small device, so I adjusted the exposure to be brighter.
I then cut out some redundant footage to make it clearer.
So maybe this is the "correct" version?
However, the previous version is closer to how it looks.
This year's Perseid meteor shower (starscape) has been visualized as an ultra-high definition 8K HDR video using a combination of time lapse and still image slideshow.
I have focused on capturing the starry sky exactly as it was seen on location, and have not made any alterations to make the starry sky or meteors look particularly bright.
Therefore, when viewing, please make sure to watch in a dark room and reduce reflections as much as possible.
It is a very delicate representation of the starry night, and I don't think it will be very clear if you play it in a bright room as is.
The video is composed of:
0:11 to 1:32: Time-lapse video
However, a stop motion was applied when the meteor flew
1:33 to 2:33: A slideshow of just the meteors
2:34 to 2:39: A still image in which the meteors that flew from around the radiant point were extracted and layered together to create a single image
That's it.
The photos were taken from August 12th to the 13th, which was said to be the peak day for meteor showers.
The slight flickering on the screen in the slideshow is thought to be due to changes in exposure when the meteors flew and the effect of very thin clouds invisible to the eye.
Therefore, no fine adjustments to the exposure were made.
The photos were taken simply as I saw the images and photographed them.
The camera used was a Nikon Z9.
The background music is a work by Hata Akira.
