Believe it or not those top fin cell cultured plants work really well! Cool stuff man!

I've purchased a few of the tissue cultured plants from Petsmart. I've done a couple Crypts (C. Undulata & C. Wendtii 'green'), Golden Jenny (Lysimachia Nummularia "Aurea") with a lot of success. They are small at first but they've grown in so well. The Jenny went into my 55gal high tech tank, the crypts went into a 13 gallon low tech, low light tank. Both are growing VERY well…I've actually been trimming the Jenny and selling my cuttings to a local fish store. The tissue cultured stuff is SO much better than the plants Petsmart has in their tanks (which is PROBABLY what you were being warned against). The only downside that I can see to the tissue cultures is that the selection is a bit limited. But still pretty good. Cheers, and good luck. Can't wait to check out your updates!!

I have no idea how this came up on Google, but I found this video yesterday and went to Petsmart today. I got a pack of these which came with two large clumps and I was able to split them in over 50 plants and most of them with roots. I'd think Petsmart would be the last place to get a "rare" plant in the hobby (maybe not rare, but so expensive) and I hear they grow fast too... Subscribing! This inspired me, so I'm probably going to start a tank journal on my channel.

I bought some from a local Petsmart also and they came with over 30 stems, ALL are growing very well and fast. I can easily sell them to make some money back and even some profit. I paid $7 because I complained about 2 dead stems..lol. I highly recommend over purchasing it over on forums since they over charge people.

Your s repens is coming along well. Mine is doing pretty good as well even without co2. I will be trimming mine and replant in the next week or so. Thanks again for the tip man.

+bigru10292 oh that's good to kno...Cuz I read so many references that say to cut the leafs off so the roots system can grow off from it...so ur s repens is producing really good n carpeting without cutting?? nice to kno

+Ty Dang my tank isn't up anymore but after replanting the trimmed stems, 3 new stems would grow back from one plant.

I just came across these. I saw some plants never sold the old way at the LFS. But!,@$12.. for a 3" wide bag of plants that have been in very low light for who knows how long..I passed. I might take a chance soon. I wonder if they have like a 30 day guarantee? Or credit?
