Pete Fawcett worked in Software development first producing educational titles for MacMillan Publishing and later games titles for Piranha Software; both working as part of Five Ways Software Ltd. Here he talks mainly about his work on two games titles that Five Ways made for Piranha Software; Strike Force Cobra which earned a Your Sinclair Megagame (Your Sinclair, Issue 11, November 1986 p.36) and Gunboat in late 1987-early ’88.
Pete came to the centre to browse the machines and relive old memories. As he was about to leave he made a passing comment that he’d worked on a couple of things; and so we quickly set up a camera to catch his memories of life as a software developer in the ’80’s. Thanks to Pete for taking the time to speak to us!
