I wish there was a better quality version of this. Of all the videos of Frampton doing this song on KZitem,this is BY FAR the best one.

Managed to see Peter in Glasgow last week, and it was the most entertaining nights i have enjoyed in many years..I bought "Come's alive" in 76, and i had never forgotten what an exceptional muscian this guy actually is, and he fully interacts with his audience, a true Gentleman!..The gig has left me hungry for more!!!..The greatest respect and love to you Peter!!!!!!

I AM a soundgarden fan and I ADORE Peter. But... I wasn't into the guitar only rendition with a few voice bytes here and there. Soundgarden was better in my humble opinion.

Peter Frampton has to be one of the greatest guitar players of all time. PERIOD. His music changes molds your attitude, changes you perspective, and leaves you wanting more. If you look up music in the dictionary, you will see Peter Frampton's face....

Peter Frampton, always hits the right note, he's plays one the sweetest sounding guitar ever. Dude is one of my all-time favorites. MY FIRST CONCERT was after "FRAMPTON comes ALIVE" become a mega hit in the music industry. So my first concert was Peter Frampton live Birmingham, AL on Sept. 1977. I'm sure I was the black person among 19,000. Great show and it's a night I'll never forget.

I believe Peter Frampton's choice to - virtually - instrumentally play this song, proves his conviction - and mine, for that matter - that the sung melody of "Black Hole Sun" is a stand-alone composition in its own right. And a great one, too, you'll agree. Adding the unchanged leslie'd guitar accompaniment, it's a hats-off from one guitar legend to a younger generation.

Yeah I got to see him night two at Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls.. It was amazing.. This was the highlight of the whole night cause I didn't know he was going to play it at all.. He's a brilliant guitarist, definitley did this song justice.. Love the auto wah he uses throughout, then finally with his talkbox.. I've heard the studio version of this song, doesn't have quite the same feeling as live versions I've heard..

I think this and Frigid Pink's rendition of House of the Rising Sun are perhaps the best remakes of an original release. I was blown away when Pete did this for the WTTW shoot in Chicago. Definitely a GREAT live concert artist.
