My heart to yours Stephen!!! ✊ You came into mind just of late, May 2024, because of what a political opponent has done here in the United States. NEVER can this be allowed ANYWHERE!!! "You can blow out a candle but you CAN'T blow out a fire" we can not let this happen again Thank you Peter❤

Peter Gabriel should be brought forth as an example for the "greatest" musician out there today, to show how it can be done; lift up and forth the local musicians, talk good about others, and speak for those who have no voice or possibility to speak. Was fortunate to experience Peter Gabriel and Nelson Mandela, and heaps of other excellent musicians on the Mandela concert in 2005 in Tromsø, at 69th parrallell in radient midnight S🌞N. An experience of a lifetime❣ Thank you Peter, for all the hours of wonderful music, inspiration, healing and help, A-HO❣

Only Peter Gabriel could have done this song for Bantu Steven Biko. Zaighum Sharif I couldn’t agree more. There are many versions of Biko on KZitem and invariably someone will write “I hate when musicians get political and try to force their liberal leftist views on the audience.” Or something to that effect. Music has been used to voice political views since, well, forever most likely. Bagpipes were banned in the Middle Ages, Mozart caused a scandal when he wrote “Figaro”, blues & jazzmen wrote against racism in the 20’s, Woody Guthrie in the 30’s. Dylan, Baez, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, All the guys in C,S,N&Y. The list from the 60’s goes on and on and they helped stop a war. I don’t understand today’s music anymore than my father understood mine.

Lest We Forget is associated with Anzac Day here in Australia bt it applies to many situations & events we as a World Community don't want to let be repeated. South African Apartheidism is one of those things we must not forget. Yet the exact same thing has been happening in Palestine for generation's & our Government's turn a blind eye & a deaf ear. Apartheidism & all forms of oppression must be rejected & we must force our Government's to do more because if Israel continues getting away with it, oppression will raise it's head elsewhere. All people regardless of gender, race, religion or anything else must be free to live dignified live's & pursue happiness in their freedom's.
