I never cared for this song until I heard this version. Carlos Santana took a great dark and moody blues song and turned it into elevator music.

Slowhand wishes he could sign as well as PG. The BEST white boy blues guitarist ever! Rory and Gary and Eric have to bow down to PG. Eric plays those same 'riffs' that are so fundamental as to be 'Blues For Dummies". Listen to ALL of PG and be amazed.

Dive deep into Peter Green! Slowhand wishes he could sing as well as Greenis! I have everything that Peter did w/Mac. Incredible! Some poor choices as to songs, but the ones he hit are fantastic.'Sugar Mama' w/Chicago outfit is alone a testament to his standing!

@kuklinski987 I know that. I learned about this version last summer from Tom Petty's Buried Treasure Radio Show on Sirious XM, I always trick people with "Who did that song first!?" when Santana comes on, no one knows that it's actually a Fleetwood Mac song. FM was a British Blues band, most underrated one ever if you as me, then they went kinda pop rock. Stevie and Lindsey joined in 75. The only member that's been there the longest was Mick Fleetwood, but John McVie started a week later.

Most excellent indeed. Why do some of you try to make music some form of competition? PG and eric are both phenoms so is Stevie ray, duane allman and a host of others.Enjoy it all and shut the hell up.
@kuklinski987 People are so suprised to learn Fleetwood Mac was a blues band. I usually give a hint when I let people guess who the song was done by first with "The most underrated blues band ever" haha. Like "Oh Well," come on! That's great!! Have you ever heard Tom Petty do Oh Well? if you ask me TP does it better, but they are both good. :)

Yes, Peter was by far the best. a bright light and for three years, he shone more and showed us a way through the blues bullshit that was Crapton.

Santana took Peter Green's guitar sound and song and turned it into great career. To Santana's credit, this song has a distinctly Latin flavor in the front part so he did really make it swing with that style.

i bought that 2 record set on Epic records waaay back in '74 after Kiln House in '70 and Then Play On in '72. Backwards i know. Thing is, i'm a fan. This tune starts out great but Peter's insistence on being a jam band for me didn't work. Give me Shrine '69.

Danny Kirwen should have Santana's wealth if there was any justice -never heard Santana know how to finish a phrase-over rated average player-just listen to Danny's Jigsaw puzzle blues - real artistry
