i saw somebody in facebook that has a car with rollers on the rear bumpers so even if the bicycles stick on the back it just spins and wont cause crashes its awesome but isnt it illegal in the streets? i know its not connected on this p. sagan comeback but pls answer my question
@cliffcox7643

Illegal in traffic, but not in a bike race, since it's a closed course event. ON the streets, you AHEMMmmm, must follow the laws.

One of our team cars had such rear bumper rollers for training purposes. Super slick high-speed bearings on a roller pin, usually custom made as far as I can remember. Many teams have had them over the years, and I've even used them in training where a motorbike pacing me had rollers (6" across) attached to the rear. I haven't seen too many of them in recent years, but first came across them in Belgium lol Either way, they are not for the faint hearted. When I first used them (ie when my front wheel came into contact with the roller), it was very nerve racking. Some riders, usually the sprinters (but not per se), adapted to them much quicker, but I always found them surreal lol

Is it legal to draft behind cars?
@eliasteller6544

When you had a mechanical problem or a crash yes, if not no but there a not many cases of a punishment
@endoucheeray7018

@@eliasteller6544 so, what if the driver of opponent teams deliberately and sophisticatedly managed a perfect "accident brake", which can also be seen as a "legal tactic"? Will he be punished?? Or sagen has to pay the price of playing a trick.
@eliasteller6544
2 жыл бұрын
@@endoucheeray7018 firstly they don't do that on purpuse, it didn't happen alltime. And the team of the driver surely has to pay a fine. But it is a different question because, like I said, it didn't happen, at least I don't know about it.

when i used to race on the continent i met with sagan on the final straight he was the only one who was tenacious enough to keep up with me and afterwards i new then that he would make a great cyclist which he has, im surprised no coaches have groomed him to be a Tour winner because he has won the green jersey enough times and there is not much difference between green & yellow jersey apart from the mountains which with the right training sagan could also master,
@croatianmountainbiking6624

They didnt groom him because it would make no sense since he wouldnt achieve it. If your theory is correct, Froome could have won bunch sprints since he is a talented lad.

@@croatianmountainbiking6624 Probably easier to lose weight and become a better all rounder than to be a gifted climber and try to turn into a sprinter. Juicing aside, Armstrong did not. But yeah, definitely not easy.
