It is important in terms of outcome. Ships in former days orientated themselves according to the North Star. If there were multiple North Stars, they would have become lost. Truth is important in terms of direction of flow and orientation. If you had arranged To meet a friend outside the shoe shop on the high street, and when you arrived there were ten shoe shops, you would have a problem. Truth is about identifying a singularity by which we can all measure reality and a coordinate through which we all intersect. In terms of the intellect, it is a construct, but of course, the world beyond mind is natures singularity, or Gods will. Either way, without either we are plunged into chaos. So yes, truth is important, even if you don't know it.

I learned long ago that most people are impervious to facts and reason. If western civilization is going to survive it will not be by convincing its enemies to change their minds. It will be by will and force.
@presentprogressivefuturepe2968
5 жыл бұрын
@@Zomfoo I think it is important to recognise that whatever comes after will be the continuation of Western civilisation regardless of the form it takes. Will it take the exact form you want it to? probably not. Will it take the exact shape of those (termed by some commentators here as) the far or hard left? probably not either... It will take a form though and it will continue to develop and debate. Or else it will stagnate like Sparta. Nevertheless something will take it's place and claim the antecedence of the West. Our discourse now is that very survival. Let's continue to have discussions, debates, and disagreement; let them be heated, let them be impassioned and let them show the capacity of the human intellect and spirit for development. Let them too, please, be civil, let us talk to our adversaries with respect, let us agree to disagree, but please let us not talk of a need for force. For whatever form the synergism of the dialectic takes, when it is formed and appears congealed, then it will be time for new ideas to clash with this order and for the relationship to begin afresh. Peter Thiel makes a wonderful point about the paradox of multiculturalism being that its adherents espouse multiple cultures but are, ultimately, all thinking the same - I don't think resorting to force so that we can describe people thinking the same under a different banner is any better. In good faith.

The reason Western Civilization has higher levels of racism than other civilization is because western civilization HAS been inclusive of other cultures and races. If you go to eastern civilization you will see 99% Asian people and maybe 1% non Asian. Also, middle eastern cultures remain 99% Arabic. Why? Because they ARE racist and believe that their culture IS superior and see no need to include other cultures in their culture. Western civilization has on the other hand openly allowed other cultures into its culture with only a few caveats... Rome for instance allowed all people into its realm and allowed them all to practice their religions, as long as they paid their taxes and obeyed the laws. All of western civilization has been this way. Now suddenly these other cultures are pissed because they are not the DOMINATE culture. That is when the cries of RACISM rise up. I wouldn't go to Saudi Arabia and demand that they recognize my culture as equal or greater than theirs... mainly because it would get me arrested and possibly executed.

Morgenstund It's hard to get several in younger generations to understand this. Many Millennials think they are talking about something brand new that no one else knows about and can not understand because they have not had classes on it. Nothing about the current state of universities or SoJus programs is new. We heard it in the 1970s and late 80s - early/mid 90s. The majority of Gen X students revolted, they took horrible/rights violating policies to court, and shut down enthusiastic/affirmative consent policies after it was implemented at one college. There were several public debates on the problems, several court cases, and a second chance was given to sort out the issues. Things calmed down a lot from the early/mid 1990s - 2001, and then it slowly started back up again. Radical Professors (2nd wave. What we are seeing today is an enforced continuation of second wave radical positions. The 3rd wave initially rejected them) were given more positions and they dug in deeper. They reimplemented policies ruled against in court, added to them, and added several more questionable policies that violate students rights on top of that.

At age 59, I can assure you many people recognized this for what it was at the time. Cultural marxism began it's long march through academia back in the 50-60s. It seems to look like a sine wave with peaks every twenty years or so. What we are observing now is the confluence of all thes "Studies Departments" created back in the late 90s into "intersectionallity". Defund and de-certify these departments and the wave would recede. Take away the funding and prestige and they'll collapse. They need to be cut out or irradiated as the tumors in the academic body they are.

This is incredibly prophetic just as Enoch Powell's "Rivers of blood" speech was. Jean Raspails 1973 novel, "The Camp of the Saints" was also incredibly prophetic. There are quite a few examples of prophetic words of what the Western world was heading toward. They were all told they were racist, bigoted fear mongerers and their predictions would "never happen", nor would they continue to have successful careers thanks to the ignorance of PC culture and the virtue signaling Left. The thing is it did all happen and the only thing these "prophets" got wrong was scale. Because the problem is far worse than even the worst predictions could have ever been and in Europe it is beyond repair. The multicultural experiment will end badly and this is NOT because the people of Europe and the U.S. aren't tolerant. In fact we have been too tolerant and as a result we are allowing the most intolerant ppl in the world overtake our society and water down our culture. We MUST fight back!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! I suggest everyone read Douglas Murray's new book, "The Strange Death of Europe". It will shine a light on why we are forced to fight for Western culture.

Compare the rate of progress for technology and science in the 1920s to the 1950s to what we got by the 1990s; the 1950s to the 1990s is basically nothing compared to the immense progress we had from the 20s to the 50s. Western society’s progress was completely stopped in the 70s and now we starting to go backwards. Science is starting to be outlawed.

When he said "if you have a group of people that think the same way do the same things and act the same way, but look different, you dont have multi culturalism" (im paraphrasing), it was an absolute relief. The left's over ambitious miss-charachterization of multi culturalism leads to alot of unnecessary divide. Sadly, many people willingly or mistakenly fall for this trap, often leading to a pipeline between libertarianism and Nazism. He is the first indavidual that I have heard, point out the differenct between ethnic and cultural diversity. I also strongly recommend reading his book Zero to One if you're an entrepreneur.

Twenty Fracking Years Of My [Mickey Mouse] Generation. I am not surprised. Why? I was President of my college peace movement in 1967, was withdrawn from school by my parents, then drafted and spent twelve months ducking rockets five miles West of Pleiku towards the Cambodian/Laotian border. Anyway, back on the home front my draft deferred peers, having never grown up, gave us all this crap for decades. They almost won. Trump and Jordan Petersen may have saved Western Civilization by themselves. My baby boom generation deserves to go down in history as one of the most malevolent, narcissistic, nihilist abominations in all of planetary history.

The younger women should really worry about the demise of mandatory Diversity. They will become uncompetitive if an employer must grant paid family, maternity health insurance, can no longer arrive late and leave early because of child issues or cannot come to work if school is cancelled. You get the idea. An employer is now forced to accommodate many special and expensive issues when employing young women.
