maybe one day I will borrow a friends un-modified amp and I can do a side by side comparison..

When you cut/sliced around the cone Peter, did you cut around a few millimetres inside your original cut so the cone wouldn't rub as it moved. I'd imagine a little gap would be needed to prevent chaffing. It does sound good. A before and after sound demo would have been great though 👍

Yes I did cut about 5mm out basically the "wiggly" part, I figured most people who have one of these amps know what they sound like....

@@PeterSesselmann Thanks for your quick response Peter. I don't have that amp but was just curious. I'm considering getting a street cube 2, I'm thinking i could mod it like this further down the road if I desired to, or swap the speakers for Jensen's as some have done with pleasing results. I'm liking the idea of the cube Street 2 for the built in harmoniser and looper plus Bluetooth connectivity...a separate pedal and Bluetooth module is required though, bumping the price up. I like that it all adds up to around 5kgs. It's for vocals and acoustic guitar as well as ukulele, not sure if it's a good option for that though. Your thoughts would be very much welcome Peter, thanks.

@@pa_maj.MARTINI-van-MAN I think the street cube already has high excursion speakers.. not sure, but replacing them with something like Jensen should improve the sound.. remember these amp are only small boxes, and BIG sound requires a BIG box.....

@@PeterSesselmann That was actually one of the First videos' of yours that I watched Peter. I have some subwoofers I don't use, old passive and still in their cabinets. An amp, harmoniser pedal, looper pedal, reverb pedal and a mixer would be required for what I want though...price shoots up then unfortunately. All in one, small and lightweight I guess will always have compromises. I guess a separate active subwoofer could work with a street cube 2 but not quite sure how atm; food for thought. Cheers Peter.
