Thank you for the steps explained. I'm in the process of getting setup for converting 270 to 7x57. I have done a few just using a FL 7x57 die and not annealing but have a Redding trim/form die coming in. I got lucky I guess that my cases came out without dents but it's only a few and I'm sure it's not always going to go that easy for me. I did seat a bullet in one of them and noticed that it was taking a significant amount of force to seat so I pulled the bullet and annealed the case then FL resized it again and noticed it only took the average amount of force for seating the bullet. I am guessing that I will be fighting the ring inside so I'm going to have to find a setup for reaming the cases. With the cases that I did, I left the expander in the die, the necks came out good with .014 to .015 concentricity, again probably beginners luck.

Well, the decision is made, I clearly need to get into reloading as soon as I have the time in my routine. Love how detailed the videos are!

Thank you for going over the brass prep. When you turn the necks, do you set up the depth of cut to kiss the shoulder of the case? I have seen some reports that folks do this to "delay" the formation of the dreaded donut and I couldn't tell whether or not you do the same. Thanks again.

Yes Jeff, I do try to just touch the shoulders. Different brands of brass differ in that spot. That Peterson batch was actually shallow at that junction so they did not get kissed as much there. After firing that brass a two times I actually had to recut the necks. They seem ok now with 5 reloads on them.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't help but notice your Annealese annealer in your lab. I am probably going to put one on order. They are extremely hard to see being beaten for

@@Jeff_Seely The bolt that holds the flame tip can be touchy but I think the new models are different. Other than that it's easy to use and large batches go quick. I would buy one again :)
