I understand having Serena's winners from set two, but set one and three should be mostly Kvitova. This video seemed very biased, and I have nothing against either player.
@DeepSeas..
6 жыл бұрын
Evan Adam Um, no. I watched the entire match and in the first set, Kvitova shut her out with great serves. Serena was fighting on every point for her service games, so that’s why there’s so many more great points on her end. The second set was completely dominated by Serena because Kvitova folded and then the third was mainly filled with great serves by Kvitova.

I could see Serena trying to play the same rhythm than Kvitova, and she couldn´t. Is very obvious her age and lost of power. It's funny that Serena just after maternity leave is playing at this awesome level and we expect her to win every match like she's a machine and she has more than delivered. Serena can't play on the same level she used to just yet, she has Olympia and that's a beautiful sacrifice and she will lose a lot more matches as a mom now than she used to and that's okay and she has accepted that she is willing to put in the work to get to where she wants to be and she has exceeded my expectations. Petra played brilliantly. We all make sacrifices so other players who have been putting in the time and work all year long will definitely do better than Serena who has responsibilities. The French Open and the final of Wimbledon just shows you the difference between playing a top player. She has beaten all the players she's supposed to beat and that is phenomenal. Nonetheless for top players she has to earn the win as they put in twice as much time and have developed the mental fortitude that comes with being consistent. Petra is a top player and always challenged Serena on court even when she was no.1 as well as beat her when she was no.1 so this was a very fine match from Serena and Petra, I enjoyed seeing Serena fight and lift her game after losing the first set, she did everything well. Keep it up queen!

Serena's serve still isn't all the way back. As Serena's serve goes, her game goes. She's just so much more confident when she's serving well. Every other aspect of her game is about where it needs to be. She is moving better and hitting better. She needs the matches for the serve and also to get those reaction shots. Petra played at a very high level and Serena was there every step of the way. Petra is ranked #8 - she SHOULD have won this match. Serena's losses haven't been bad in her comeback - the scores are tough, but the players she's losing to aren't ones to be alarmed at. So I can live with that.

Thoukis Thoukis not true. WTA was quite boring without Serena. They win differently and have different personalities but they, Roger and Serena, are the most talented and toughest players each tour has ever produced in history. None of the young guns, on either tour, are beating them consistently. Petra, a legend herself, is a veteran and has a level that can match Serena but she is inconsistent. When Roger and Serena are gone, they will be missed and the sport will lose some popularity. I hope, however, the next big star will be able to shine through and make it interesting again.

Fantastic match, a definite blockbuster. I'm no fan of Serena nor Kvitova (I love Masha) but with this level of tennis, both clearly has huge chances to make some huge splashes in the US Open drawing. Intense match with lots of winners, I can bet if Kvitova didn't stop Serena, Serena will go for a cruise till she gets Cincy so it's kinda like a "Now or Never" match, the same with Giorgi vs Serena in Wimbledon I really was desperate for Giorgi to snatched the match because as far as I could saw, only Giorgi who has the same (or even bigger) serve than Serena left in Wimby draw and she's fearless and that's basically the recipe to at least put a heart attack, if not winning the match, against Serena, but she didn't manage to dumped her in the end Yet Serena fluked in the final against Angie who also saw her opportunities and capitalized it to the maximum level Hope you get a good and deep run in the draw, Petra!

Great tennis from both! Petra is in her greatest condition. Serena is improving. I wonder if she’ll prioritize weight loss to make movement easier. She will be on the courts longer than usual here on.

The comments on this video are ridiculous and disappointing. Speaking of Serena as a gorilla, man, bully its all uncalled for! Yes she is intimidating and so are other top players. Yes she’s gotten angry, so has other players! Yes she’s hit towards players at net, so have other players to her at net! Its all a part of the sport. We all have the right to like and dislike who we want. Me personally, I love all the best top players. Williams sisters Maria Sharapova Kvitova Li Na Azarenka Kim Dementieva Lindsay Davenport they were ALL great champions. I respect what they all brought (and still bring) to the women’s game. As a people, we should be way more redpectful of them and honored to be seeing history made in a sport we all love! Let’s grow up guys.

I don't care what the hating pigs have to say. These ridiculous comments about her being a doper when she passes all drug tests. Unlike a certain player who actually did test positive, Serena is progressing. Serena will be alright, she just needs more practice. Congrats to Kvitova who I like a lot.

Katerina Patiniotis wtf? Do you even watch tennis? Lots of champions win all the time and pass drug testing. Based on your selection bias does that mean Djokovic, Nadal, and federer are doping? Do we say any all time great champion is doping and it'll just eventually come out? If anything they're even more strict because of the potential fall out for all players if that happens. Don't compare cycling with tennis. If someone is taking anabolic steroids/hgh you'd expect them to just be outright stronger, not showing signs of exhaustion even after back to back matches that go the distance, and dominating the competition with little effort. I've never heard of steroids making females go gorilla.

Oh and if you talking about the lines person that's been years ago and a lot of players included men have talk crazy to umpire and lines person do that make them a bully.

Petra played a good match and she deserves the victory. :) Totally ‘AGREE’ Cosmic Con, considering you didn’t know the definition of the word ‘CHEAT’. Just so you know , she ‘CHEATED’ for the past 23 years , 8000+-days since she turned pro in 1995, with 23 grandslam single titles , 72 WTA single titles , 5 Tour Finals titles , 23 WTA doubles titles , 14 grandslam doubles titles, 2 grandslam mixed double titles , 2 Olympic Games single titles , 2 Olympic Games double titles . And yet she got herself out of hot water from all the tournaments being a “CHEATER”. How impressive yea? Get yourself a calculator if you were bad in abacus(google this word too) to do the calculation. *wink*

People are funny, Serena was in the Wimbledon final, beat out her whole side of the draw and yet most of you speak as if she is so low in skill that she has to level up to players like Kvitova. The woman gave birth and in less than a year was in the Wimbledon final, despite the C-section delivery, pulmonary embolism, and several surgeries due to delivery complications, she was in the Wimbledon final. Stop with this irrational bias against a true champion.
