Thanks for being the only KZitemr showing this kit. I already purchased this for my case but wanted to see if anyone else had any issues with it, thanks for pointing out the tight fit you had to deal with in the upper area of the case.

I love Phanteks. Great cases. I've built a lot of PC's and their cases have always been the best to build in in my opinion. They look great too. I'm not such a big fan of RGB, but this lighting kit does it so tastefully! Your PC is one to envy😀

This is my first Phanteks case, it won't be my last. Absolute pleasure to build in. And my two build modes are either 'stealthy zero RGB' or every single bit of RGB I can fit in, nothing in between!

@@PsymonTech Currently using a Phanteks Evolv X case with every single bit of RGB haha. 8 RGB strips in total, 2 for under glow, 2 inside the component area, 2 inside the cable area (evolv x has 2 glass panels) and 2 shining through the top vents....absolutely not needed but looks great with screen sampler effect😃

Great looking case with some nice add-ons. I do like the bring your own fans idea. As expensive as it gets, at least the cost can be spread over time rather than having it sold exclusively with the case
@PsymonTech
10 ай бұрын
Oh definitely, even if you just started with a couple of intake and one exhaust you'd still have nice temps and as you say, you could then add the rest over time. And you don't need to run it with fans that cost £25 each like the D30s do either, you can make it look great with less expensive fans. Overall I'm a big fan (pun not intended) of the case and the direction Phanteks went with it. And it beats getting cheap stock fans that you want to replace anyway as you do with many cases.

Great video, the kit looks amazing. Thinking about getting a kit for myself. Would you happen to know the dimensions of the box the kit is packed in? Im asking a relative to bring one over when they come visit and i would like to provide them with box dimensions before I have it shipped to them. Cheers

Glad you enjoyed the video. I've just measured the metal box the kit came in and it is 540mm (21.25 inch) x 250mm (9.8 inch) and 58mm (2.3 inch) deep. Hope that helps.

wish they sold the 24pin rgb cover on its own, I hate rubber grommets and considering they covered it on both the NV7 and 9 it just fills a bit of a rip off to spend an extra £60 just for that cover, good review though, much appreciated.

Yeah, given that the 24-pin cover doesn't have to connect to or through the LED strips, they could easily have sold it separately for those who just want that.

Yeah, AM5 bootup can be a little slow at times, definitely noticeable over AM4. Sometimes it just decides to retrain memory for no apparent reason.

How hard was it to fit vertical mount tilted mate. I haven't seen anyone else with nv5 tilted. Can't decide whether to grab it for my sons nv5
@PsymonTech

It was... not the easiest thing I've done. I really like the look of it on a slight tilt, but particularly if you have a big GPU, getting the screws in to hold the card in the bracket can be frustrating. I had to take the rear fan out to be able to get the screws in and then re-mount the fan.

I just installed mine today and it looks great! My only complaint is that some of the modes in mystic light has half of the bottom strip not working, or looping weird. Also, the top and side strips are very dim as well compared to the bottom. Finally, my top strip does not stick as far down as yours. Is all of this normal?
@PsymonTech
6 ай бұрын
I can't comment about Mystic Light as I haven't used it with software, I run it entirely off the case lighting options. To be honest, the dimness of the top and side, plus the top strip not fitting the same as I showed in the video doesn't sound normal. The top strip was definitely fiddly to get into position, so it may be that it's not quite seated properly in your case and you may be able to sort that out (but you'd likely have to take out any fans/radiator you have in the top of the case in order to access it). On the dimness issue, and this is pure speculation as I obviously can't see/test your setup, it may be a power or wiring issue, possibly with something connected incorrectly. I think given your issues it's definitely worth checking over everything, making sure it's all hooked up correctly and if you're still having issues then look to go through the RMA process and see if it's a problem with your specific unit.

Hi, thanks for the video, is it possible to connect this to the motherboard for control with ASUS AURA for example ?
@PsymonTech
9 ай бұрын
I haven't tried it myself as I'm just running off the case controls, but the listing on the Phanteks website suggests that it is compatible with third-party RGB software. Both the motherboard cover and the LED strips have JST connectors, so you'd need adapters to be able to plug them it into the addressable 3-pin headers on your motherboard. But *in theory* it should be possible.

How can I connect all the RGB fans into the hub? you said to daisy chain so I have to buy an adapter (in the video you say daisy chain connection) and put all the fan connectors in one port? do you know where I can buy it.
@PsymonTech
8 ай бұрын
The D30 fans that I'm using can daisy chain into each other so no adapter was needed. Then the last fan in the chain connects to the hub and the signal is sent to all the fans.

I understand but if I have a connector for air or one for side fans and one for single fan I still have 3 cables to connect for the lighting! but if one is occupied by the controller, one is occupied by the motherboard in the third, how do I insert the remaining 3?
@PsymonTech
8 ай бұрын
@@MatteoOss I can only tell you how I set it up. All my fans, plus my AIO, plus the vertical GPU bracket are daisy chained into one line - the RGB wires that come off them are connected together as they're all Phanteks, and they take up one connection on the hub without any need for an adapter. If your setup uses non-Phanteks stuff then you may need some for of adapter to connect them to the hub but I don't know as I haven't tried that. Sorry I can't be of more help.
