I personally have an N-Case M1 pc and a CM NR200 pc setup as well. The NR200 is as big a case as I like for a mini itx setup. Over the past 7+ years I’ve been building itx rigs for myself allowing better desk real estate usage and when needed, ability to relocate/move my pc for lans etc. but I must admit I do like the style of the P200 series cases from Phanteks. Job well done by them and very good video too Danny 👍🥳🥰

Cool video. I personally think most people won't mind the size. I had a similar issue trying to find a micro ATX case that fits a full-size ATX motherboard. The reviews on the Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L weren't good but most reviewers tried to build in it the same way with standard fan config. instead of going with the flow of the case. So in my Q500L case with a tower cooler, I made the rear fan intake, place the cooler fan on the left side of the cooler also as intake, place a 120mm intake fan in the front, and had another 120mm fan as exhaust at the top of the case helping the PSU exhaust air out the top of the case. I was able to fit full-size GPUs of any size in this config. with no airflow issues or clearance issues with the GPU. I finished it off with a magnetic fan grill for the rear 120mm fan I used at intake to cut down on dust and since the top and front of the case already had dust filters I don't have any dust issues.

Nice to see they have a non-RGB, non-glass panel version. I know it's the fad, but I just don't care about that stuff. Agree about 3.5" storage. It's not dead yet. Update: Just went to their website. Not available in the US. Kind of a deal breaker.

Waiting for my delivery rn; I am switching to this from my Node 304. I thought I'd like the small footprint, and I do, but the airflow is horrible. I have cramped that thing so tight there's literally no free space left. CPU sits nicely, because it has the NH-D15, but the GPU is completely s u f f o c a t i n g. I caught myself gaming on a pc that has lived without the case cover longer than with it. I hope this case will solve all my problems on quite frankly, almost half the budget of a Node 304. I am expecting it to be of a worse quality as I have had mainly FD cases over the years and they always are head and shoulders over the competition. Fingers crossed.

This case has better airflow for sure, but I love the utility of the handle of the tu150. Also, the TU150 is a decent bit smaller since it uses sfx power supply, since you already have an sfx I'd probably stick to the TU150 until you need to upgrade the psu

I would buy it if it was actually $70 and had M-ATX. For 99% of people M-ATX is all you need, it is the cheapest form factor and has the best price range being $75 - $150 whereas most people will not spend $200 on a motherboard, nor do they need it. The extra space would be used up by fans if someone where to choose ITX, most people buying a $100 motherboard are not looking to buy $25 for bottom fans. Building on a budget means giving up on aesthetically pleasing components such as memory or cooling, this is acceptable for most people as in reality you are not looking inside your case, however your case is a significant piece of furniture so it is well worth investing in, you can sit comfortably knowing you have a quality case which will also be used to store any future parts you wish to upgrade, for example going from a modest air cooled M-ATX build to a custom liquid cooled premium computer without spending that $100 - $200 dollars on a new case. This simply all makes sense to me and I cannot think of a reason as to why Phanteks would limit this chassis to ITX other than greed?. Similar to the recent Right to Repair video Linus made where companies will limit your options so that you are pushed to buy an entire new product. This would have been a great opportunity for Phanteks to get into the mainstream market as there is little choice when it comes to M-ATX cases as well as the fact that they are overpriced to the point where you might as well go ATX, however putting an M-ATX motherboard in an ATX case looks cheap, weak and out of place. EDIT: I should mention that this is a great ITX case and a well produced review of it!

You're probably right about the Scythe Ninja being at fault for higher CPU temps. If you want it to work you can probably reverse the airflow - intake from the rear & bottom and exhaust at the side & front. Best setup aside from front mounted 280mm AIO would probably be NH-D15 and value pack of Arctic P12's - 2 side, 2 bottom intake, 1 rear exhaust. There's so much room to the right of the motherboard so Phanteks just needs to add a couple of more millimeters to the height and they should be able to fit an mATX board.

I am a Phanteks fan, and I'm contemplating an ITX build, but this is simply just too big. The lack of a PSU shroud is also a deal breaker for me, even if I'd go for the non-windowed version
@mraaaaaaa
2 жыл бұрын
The shroud is just a visual thing. A PSU (except fanless) does not contaminate the rest of the case temperature so it does not need a separate enclosure. If you go for the 'performance' version I don't see why would you complain about it having no shroud when you can't even see it.
