Thank you for the help in making a choice. I went with the Phantom Spirit 120SE for use on a 5600X3D. I run it with the front fan on back so my RGB RAM shows and that config works as stock. So far its outstanding, I was stunned it hit 26c idle, coming off Wraith Prism that's an achievement. Games 45c-68c depending on game and room temp. Max all core torture 78c no throttling, always full clocks. There was a gray version for $28 but Amazon free shipping limit is $35, I paid less for a $35.99 black version with free shipping. Perfect fit in my opinion, thanks again.

Nice comparison! This seems to be a tradeoff of a few bucks and noise for looks. Performance wise, they seem to be trading blows. It's almost like even Thermalright themselves can't beat the incredible SE.

Hi, friend. Cool video! Can you give me some advice please? I watched your videos about AIO, and I understand that you are the only person on the Internet who reviewed the AIO from Thermaltight. Which one would you recommend: Thermalright Magic Sceinc v2, Frosted Edge, Aqua Elite v3 or Frozen Prism? they are all 360mm versions. I have a small budget so I wanted cheaper one. frozen note costs much more , or is it worth for that price? Thank you very much!

Evo runs 2150 rpm max, SE 1500 rpm. I really can't see how can you compare 50% fan noise and then conclude EVO is louder. Wouldn't it be better to set both at let say 500 or 1000 rpms and then compare? Btw I have Pearless Assasin SE and Phantom Spirit EVO sitting next to me unpacked. I now can't decide which to use.
@WELSHYTECH

The EVO is louder I compare the noise at 100% fan Speed, not 50 as Most coolers will be quiet at 50% and nope it wouldn't be better as Most people would either use it at 50% or 100% or in between 50 and 100 its from this point where noise will become loud from 50 to 100

Which is better for R7 7700? Will the fact that the Evo version has louder fans affect this processor? I was thinking of andrevolving it (curve -20), plus the fact that its peak consumption does not exceed 100w. Is there any way to set the max rpm to 1000 per minute? If so, which one would be quieter in this setting and more efficient? I didn't find the information on the internet, anyway thanks for the review!

Honestly, either would be fine. The r7 7700 doesn't consume a lot of power But me personally would go evo

Which one did you end up buying and using for your 7700 and how did it perform at idle, in gaming and in stress tests like cinebench, prime95, etc? im planning a 7700 or 9700x build and wondering about the cooler

Thanks to both @7iomka and @WELSHYTECH for the information. Turns out 9700x is kind of a disappointment for its hefty launch price so im now trying to decide between 7700 and its x3d version (the 7800x3d). Going to go for Phantom Spirit SE for either.

Definitely curious about those Thermalright AIO/rads. The price isn't much higher than their air coolers. The lower idle of the EVO is interesting, but that isn't any point of concern for me; I only care about the stress.

Hello buddy. I watched your video and liked it. It was good content. Many people's curiosity has been satisfied. But there is a problem, I don't know much English. Do you think I should choose phantom or pearless? Also, my motherboard model is b650 gaming plus, will it compress the RAM? Can you please reply? I will get it immediately. My case Nzxt h10elite

Lol, better, quieter, cooler. 👍 But... Still clicky, and step down of rgb. So... I guess that's why it's less expensive than noctua and a few others?

Noctua are known for quality they are one of the top CPU cooler brands, but as for Thermalright they are making good Coolers at very low prices it's a win win

Can you run the cpu cooler with the fan on the back and middle, having the fan at the front blocks the ram.
@bodasactra

I recently got the PS 120 SE and use it with your preferred fan at the back config with a 5600X3D 85 watt max 6 core CPU. This CPU has a 105 TDP cooling recommendation because its slightly harder to cool due to the extra layer of cache on top of the die. Idle is between 27-33c depending on ambient room temp 69-75F and annoying Win 11 background apps running even when turned off. Games are between 45-68Cc depending on how demanding the game is on cores. Max all core sustained torture test load at 4.35 GHz is 78-80c never had throttling, always at max clock when needed. Looking at many KZitem test I get better results with your configuration with a rear fan, almost like a turbine system. I do use a top fan as an intake and it feeds directly into the cooler fans through the side of the fin stack of the cooler and I know that helps a good bit. As an exhaust it would fight the cooler for air for no reason, the cooler super exhaust all the hot air out the back through the triple turbine of the cooler and rear exhaust. I will keep it in your config, I have four nice B-die RGB sticks I want seen and apparently it works just as well or better with cooling.

@@erickmk Sure, I will post it and reply to you when its ready. I will show the build and real time temps and voltages from camera on the monitor. I use MSI X3D booster Kombo Strike level 3, its basically an automatic -30 curve optimizer and voltages will reflect that. The board has error code display that also does real time CPU temps and I will display it on screen. It might take me a minute, my wife is in hospital, complications from terminal cancer so home time has been short. It will be nice to do a vid to take my mind off it. As I post this comment its 33c (90f) outside and with multiple tabs open, a video running, and heavy background tasks, its 33c-35C. My air conditioning gives the room an ambient temp of 24c. Its really impressive but, the cooler is rated for 280 watts. Give me about two hours.
