Valentin Miéville is one of the 2024 winners of the "PhD Booster" programme launched by the Faculty of Medicine, which aims to promote young talent in biomedical research.
Valentin is a pharmacist who studied at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva. After completing his studies, he began a PhD in the group of Prof. Nowak-Sliwinska. His research focuses on using organoids as a tool to combat cancer. Specifically, he uses patient tissues to develop small kidney organoids and kidney tumor models that closely replicate those found in patients. This allows him to perform drug combination screenings to identify the most effective treatments for each patient.
