Hi Stan. Great video instruction. I am new to astrophotography and now a new subscriber. Thank you for helping me set up PhD2. Next I need to get up to speed on APT or Sequence Generator. The software choices and set up are the greatest challenges. Clear skies! We’ve been getting nightly summer clouds here in GA.

Bruce Lavin thanks for the comments. Welcome aboard and I hope these videos will help you get started. Be sure to set the videos as last posted first. This will put them in the correct order to see the series in the right viewing order. Clear skies and keep looking up!

Thanks for an excellent video. I have just started using phd2, and I wish I had seen this a couple of days ago. Spent several hours last night getting things dialed in. Would have been much simpler if I had seen this first.

Are these calibration #s for the guide scope & guide camera only? That is what I think. Your presentation is very clearly spelled out. It is what I need now. I didn't get a chance to input the new guide camera and scope combinations so I didn't have good guiding...

Change your exposure to 1.5 seconds. 1 second seems too fast. I can't see your hysterisis numbers. Mine are around 0.19-0.20. Just changed a scope (main scope-OTA) although the guidescope and guidecamera are the same. My guiding was terrible! So I will have to do a force calibration and look at what Guiding Assistant will recommend.
