I also like to workout back with biceps and chest with triceps because i give more time for biceps and triceps to recover than if i was working them the other way around and i also like that the small musle group is allready warmed up after back or chest workout.

The brachioradialis is weaker than the biceps, and is used much more than the biceps at the bottom of a curl. So you can put more emphasis on the biceps with partial reps, i.e. by doing only the upper two-thirds or upper half of the curl. At least, this is what I've read.
@MASSNUTRITION

No actually the IRONIC thing is you are saying that an exercise can make your biceps smaller?!?! Phil Heaths biceps don't look too small to me... I love all these internet warriors commenting on how Pro Bodybuilders or World's Strongest Men don't know how to train... The proof is in the end result they have acheived, not in typing on a keyboard..

2:25 What Phil is referring to is the "Push/Pull" Method whereas you group exercises that you "Push" together (Bench press, triceps, shoulder press, etc) in a workout. In another workout, you do "Pull" exercises (biceps, back, traps, etc). I've actually used this method for years!!!

@SportLeichtRensport People become obese now because they eat too much while abstaining from performing rigorous workout or exercise regularly, no? For me, I am doing well in this lifestyle. Perhaps you can say I am well adapted to it. I have a copious amount of food to eat, and the food sources is stable, and I work out sufficiently so I am fit, and go for regular medical check ups to detect any disease or abnormality.

@SportLeichtRensport I'd say we're dealing with the change from limited, unstable food source, to copious and stable food sources pretty well. Also, if people do not live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, their bodies would not be particularly adapted or evolved to or for it, no?

heavy bar curls are a main one that will help with overall mass, along with heavy preachers to stretch out the bicep... sides? like inner and outer? just gonna have to gain weight aka mass for your arms to be thicker... wider grip hits inner, narrow grip hits outer bicep, basically

preacher curls add height to the bicep? NO, you cant change the shape of a muscle or your genetics. People don't realise that there is ultimately nothing you can do other than get bigger and fulfill your potential. the hight will come with the the overall shape, and a variety of bicep exercises can achieve that.

@ViolatedCunt quite an ironic comment in itself cause i think you are incorrect there. it depends on the person and how much training they can take with a certain weight, volume, frequency, etc and if you take steroids, the healing process may take an even shorter time than usual. i know what you mean by the biceps responding to back training, but in fact, if you are training back CORRECTLY, you should be able to still complete a biceps routine (not that you have to train them same day)
@fedfyr

@pkedbyafroob You could change all your excercises, for example to: Barbell curls, reverse grip curls and 21s. You could also try to change the weight that you are using. You can use the same excercises that you are doing now, but alternate between low weights with 12-15 reps on all excercises and then next time you train biceps use heavy weights with 6-8 reps. Hope this helped :)

@9405288 In answer to your question, i personally like to work in a sort of 'pyramid' structure when it comes to rep-weight ratio. For me, I like to work with the sense of less weight - more reps and more weight- less reps. i find that this gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to building muscle, in that your esencially building the muscle and getting stronger (with more weight), and also adding tone to your muscles (with less weight) Take care, and I hope this helps :)

I've had the same problem. The closer to hammer grip you have, the more you will hit the brachialis. When doing dumbbell curls with your elbow further back than your torso, like the incline curls, you'll hit the inner head of the biceps. I also find that using a wide grip with barbell curls takes tension of the brachialis area.
