After watching this on "The Big One" I stopped buying Nike products altogether. It has been 20 years of that decision and I have never regretted it (I also stopped buying Adidas). I rather buy shoes from local brands and when there is no other choice, then Mizuno or some smaller brands.

Why wouldn’t American youths want to work at something as culturally poignant as shoe production?

maybe only if they could get early access or could steal the shoes and flip them on stockx. Otherwise no. Kids here would never want that job.

@@generica1 would you close it already. Why are you advocating taking away jobs from youths in America when America created the shoe culture. How old are you? You seem like a middle age old person who has probably never even had a job you’re whole life or just hate people making it.

Because reselling shoes online is more profitable than manufacturing them for 10 hours. The 8hr workday is already in protests throughout America, so it's a bad production idea.

Read Phil Knight’s book “Shoe Dog”. Moore’s thinking is simply delusional.

How’s saying you’ve now made your 100 billion. Now stop using poverty stricken countries to make your products delusional you hypocrite. Have some heart, you yourself wouldn’t make shoes for 50c an hour and yet you’re advocating others to.

@@BLAZEREN101 He's not "advocating" for people to make shoes he was offering jobs to make shoes. He's right nobody in the US wants to do that job. He's one of the very few CEOs to actually entertain Michael Moore with this interview and genuinely consider what he had to say.

@@generica1 you’re nuts, they did entire interview’s and town hall meetings asking people if they would make Nike shoes for a normal wage and so many people said they would. Are you just going to disregard complete factual evidence? For this modern time I guess so many people like you do because you just did. It’s all about third world cost saving practices and it always has been.

@@BLAZEREN101 OMG bro. Where have you been? 47 million Americans in 2021 willfully quit their jobs because they didn't want to work. And many if not most of those were good high paying jobs. Have you been awake the past few years and understand America's labor shortage? I know of several companies who make products in the USA. And their factories are filled with almost nothing but off the boat immigrants. Which is fine. But this idea that American's want to manufacture Nike's here in the US for minimum wage when places like McDonalds has to pay people $20 an hour and offer loads of incentives just to get people to apply. You're out of touch. Phil Knight at the very least, entertained Moore. Considered what he had to say but did not come to the same conclusion Moore did. However he did make a donation to Flint.
