Super job Phil. The camera puts us right there in the seat with you. Anyone who says it's "easy" obviously hasn't done it!

Thanks, Mark! I didn't mean to mislead anyone by alluding to someone saying that it was "easy". Apologies. What I said in the video is 'experienced pilots' make it look "easy" due to their training and practice. "Blue Skies & Tail-Winds".

@@aerolite103buildersvlog8 No, I understood what you exactly meant. I've heard some over the years make "off handed" comments that flying UL aircraft "couldn't be that hard". Watching you having to hold that nose off and the constant back pressure needed (without trim) made me think of those making that "observation". My instructor made me do that same thing in a 152 as part of my training. He felt it developed better pilot control over the aircraft in that transition phase of flight. All I know is that I didn't have a dry shirt when we were done and it wasn't even hot outside!

@@markhull1366 Right on! Yeah people can be ignorant and over-confident. That's a recipe for disaster I don't want in my log book, for sure. I want to be the best pilot I can be and if I follow that goal I'll achieve it. But it's going to take a long time and some hard work on my part. It's gonna pay dividends BIG TIME. Anything worth anything in life takes dedication and drive to achieve it. Stay tuned. You're witnessing the evolution of a land-lover to a pilot. :)

This is the most real and raw footage I've seen on how to fly an aircraft. Thanks! Must be crazy difficult to learn to steer with your feet.

I agree to a point. That said my training experiences are not for anyone else's personal instruction purposes. If sound was included it might be mis-used for that instead of one outlaying their own money and getting formal training with a qualified instructor in their own region - like I am.

You gotta learn how to drive it across the ground before you can fly it through the air. You also gotta get a feel for the rotation speed so you'll know when it leaves the ground.
