What is the Philippine National Identification Card?
The Philippine Identification System ID (PhilSys ID) or the Philippine Identification Card (PhilID) (Tagalog : Pambansang pagkakakilanlan) is the official card for the Filipino citizens worldwide and foreign permanent residents in the Philippines.
The legislation which seeks to implement this system is the "Philippine Identification System Act" (Republic Act no. 11055) which was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on August 6, 2018.
Who are eligible for a PhilSys National ID?
• Filipino Citizens, including those with dual citizenship.
• OFW's and other Filipino Citizens living abroad.
• Foreign Nationals living in the Philippines for over 6 months.
What are the requirements?
• Filled out PhilSys application form.
• Original copy of any of the following supporting documents:
- PSA issued birth certificate and 1 government ID with full name, photo and signature.
- Philippine passport
- UMID card issued by the SSS or GSIS.
• Other equivalent proof of identity
• For foreign residents: Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or ACR ID
• For married women adopting their husband's surname: PSA issued marriage certificate.

• PSA regional and provincial offices
• Local civil registry offices (located in your city/municipal hall)
• GSIS, SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF/Pag-Ibig Fund branches
• Comelec
• Philippine Postal Corp (PhilPost)
• Other government agencies assigned by the PSA
• Selected Landbank branches
