Is the Plex app available on this TV? Also how do you regard the panel care settings on this set, any noticeable image retention or burn in? I had a Panasonic Plasma for years and babysitting that thing while always needing to be hyper aware of static images made me miserable. Very prevalent burn in and retention in no time at all.

Unfortunately not available on the apps list. It could be added on a future update but no announcement. All OLED’s have built in burn-in protection. That should be enough. My tv is used without any concern for about 8 hours a day on average and no issue so far.

Great overview. Im very tempted to get this, as it is on sale, and will be my first OLED but also looking at the OLED909 however it is double the price 🤔 any issues or regrets you’ve had so far?

Two bugs I've encountereed: 1. The Ambilight brightness sometimes changes back to the default level after you turn the TV on from off state. Workaround manually change the Ambilight brightness levels back to your preferred. 2. When viewing Dolby Vision content with Dolby Vision picture modes, sometimes there are image artifacts. Workaround is to change to Crystal Clear mode or flip through the modes and back to Dolby Vision picture mode. I have made Philips aware of these bugs so should be resolved in a future firmware update. No regrets but I would recommend considering your viewing environment. If your environment is very bight with lots of light spilling in and you do a lot of daytime viewing then I would recommend the brighter OLED909 panel if you can afford it. However, the OLED759 does fare well and has the advantage of 4x HDMI 2.1 ports.

@@Az__ thanks for the detailed response! It is much appreciated 😁 I am looking into the OLED909 a bit more due to it being newer model, 4 sided ambilight and up to 144hz but how is the OS? It has Titan OS compared to the 909 which is Google TV?
@Az__

@@BasilFrank they all (909, 809 and 759) use the new 2024 panels. 909 however uses the more advanced second-gen MLA tech found on the LG G4 model as they use the same LG panels. The MLA tech allows 150% more brightness vs the lower models. The 759 and 809 do offer more brightness vs 2023 models but not the same levels as the 909. Titan OS is very limited. I would only recommend using it as a backup if you don’t have an Amazon Firestick or equivalent. The Google OS on the 909 and 809 is full featured and you will not need a 3rd party solution.

@@Az__ thanks! I have been using my PS5 mostly for the apps as my LED TV is very limited but is the Titan OS fast? As the 759 is on sale, and the 909 is double its price, I am more leaning into the 759; oddly though, I cannot find any detailed written or video review on this TV (or the 909 in fact)? The sale runs until the end of September so I have some time to dig a little deeper.

@@BasilFrank yes the Titan OS is fast and has performed well during my testing. Please note though I don’t use the Titan OS as my daily driver as I use a Firestick so I can’t comment on long term usage. General navigation and using the USB storage to play movies on the Titan OS is very fast and not had any issues. Yea strangely I have not seen any reviews of the unit too. Might have to wait longer for reviews.

When a very bright full screen appears, can you see the auto limiter kick in or do they normally appear in s ready reduced brightness. I had a plasma years ago and that abrupt image brightness reduction always annoyed me. Thank you

@@anaymakan6989 i haven't used these Titan OS televisions yet, but based on the old Philips Saphi os televisions like my 50PUS6754/12 from 2020. these do lack heavily in therms of usable apps. in therms of overall usage, i would definitely swap my 50PUS6754 to my previous old 55PUS7272/12 from 2017 that had Android 8 based Android TV os. sure it was slow and some cases apps had some issues performing at usable speeds. For example siedeloaded (send apk file to the tv) F1TV app was not able to play anything past 360p on the tv without the stream lagging heavily on it. but that was only after they added Widevide DRM on their streams, prior to that no issues. Luckily i use my 50 inch Saphi tv as my computer monitor, so it's lack of smarts does not bother me at all, but if you are looking for a living room set with smart features. i would either look at new Google TV powered options or getting a separate media box instead. on my living room i have Philips 55PUS8887 from 2022 with Android tv on it and it is completely different beast. sure you still have to sideload F1TV on it, but it does playback the drm protected 1080p stream without a issue and won't lack even after switching to another camera. but more importantly it is much faster in general operation than my old 2017 model was. and out of the two models, that android tv one is faster and way more stable than the Saphi model. heck i got the new 1600 lux color hue bulbs and paired one on the Android tv one and it had no issues with it. but then i tried the same thing on the Saphi model and as soon as i tried to set the position of the bulb, the tv hard resets itself and disabled all hue and ambilight features from it. after few factory resets and retrys later, i decided to try and swap the new 1600lux bulb back to my older 806lux bulb and got through the setup just fine. in the end it seems like i had to make the initial setup on the 806 bulb and then swap to the 1600lux one and luckily the tv uses the old 806 placement info on the new 1600 too. but still that just shows that the saphi was bugging out. there has been similar but not as severe unstable bugs on the saphi model on the past 3 months that i have used it, but luckily as i mostly only ask it to display HDMI 1 for my pc and at worst maybe HDMI3 where i put my old Chromecast with Google tv. So the buggy nature of Saphi stays hidden for the most parts. so as a display panel these do work, but if you are looking for a smart tv, i would be careful with these as you could be disappointed with the app selection.
